2017 Buick LaCrosse Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Expert review
Buick redesigns its full-size sedan and creates a premium car with the power to appeal beyond the AARP crowd.
Within the General Motors hierarchy of brands, Buick has always served as a bridge between less-expensive Chevrolets and more-expensive Cadillacs. From time to time throughout its long history, Buick has built youthful cars, it has built performance cars, and it has built world-class cars. The image that sticks, however, is based on the chrome-encrusted barges Buick peddled for decades to older and wealthier people who did not or would not buy a Caddy. Times are changing, though, and the redesigned 2017 Buick LaCrosse is a perfect example illustrating the company’s metamorphosis.

What owners say
"Owners of the 2017 Buick LaCrosse generally appreciate its spaciousness, classy design, and smooth ride. Many drivers praise its comfort and advanced features, making it a great value for a luxury car. However, some express concerns about the electronic system, particularly the temperature gauge and error messages, as well as a few instances of paint quality issues."
Valve cover gasket's leaking oil and need to be replaced. Other than that pretty nice car. Some curb rash on bumper and rims, scraps/ scratches in paint but to be expected for a car of this age and miles.
April 29, 2025The car has a smooth quiet ride, and plenty of features, including heated/ cooled seats
June 25, 2022Weve now had 3 LaCrosse vehicles ( the 3rd we just purchased). The first 2 we wonderfully dependable and we experienced NO problems with either vehicle (99,000+ miles on #2). They seem to get better, more comfortable, more quieter and more features each year.

November 15, 2022Very spacious, good looking, all the amenities you want in a luxury car, 4.5 out of 5 reliability rating by car and driver. Luxury car options without the luxury car price tag for ownership or repairs.
November 11, 2020Beautiful design. Excellent interior. All the bells and whistles you want. Mileage is an issue but its okay since its on a larger car. The four-cylinder gets better gas mileage than the six.
June 12, 2023Paint looks like someone took sandpaper to it.
January 21, 2021Enjoyed everything about the car, I am a Buick fan.
September 22, 2021Its a very nice dependable maintenance free quiet running like a Cadillac
September 23, 2021Good American Quality and never in my experience had any issues with these vehicles
May 9, 2022This is the 4th Lacrosse I have owned. The ride is everything a Buick buyer would want. My car (bought used) does not have the seat memory which I will miss. Electronics are nice but difficult to learn from the manual.
