2016 Subaru Outback Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Expert review
Pack some people aboard, load the cargo area with provisions, head into the mountains, and it becomes painfully obvious that the Subaru Outback really needs a turbocharger.
Some automobiles are themselves objects of passion. Others are designed to facilitate the pursuit of passions. For example, BMWs are known as the Ultimate Driving Machines. Along the same lines, the 2016 Subaru Outback could be called the Ultimate Thriving Machine, because that’s what you can do when you own one.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2016 Subaru Outback are quite pleased with its spaciousness, comfort, and fuel efficiency. Many appreciate the safety features and the vehicle's handling, making it a popular choice for families. However, some drivers have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the leather seats, noting they can stain and rip after some use."
love my car so far, very smooth driving and the bluetooth is a nice feature as well as the heated seats, my model doesn’t have the sunroof which is a bummer but overall the vehicle is a beaut. very spacious for me and my dogs when we travel in the car for extended periods of time; and ample trunk space for anything we may pick up on the way.
March 2, 2025It’s my first time getting a Subaru and an Outback. It’s the limited and it drives very nice, I’m actually very impressed with how well it feels. We have 3 kids ages 11, 9, 5 and they fit in the back just fine. I like how I still feel somewhat off the ground but yet get the car gas mileage. I’d say it compares to my Highlander we had just no 3rd row.
June 6, 2021Safety features, quiet, comfortable, all the bells and whistles. And its pretty.

August 23, 2020Really like this model of Subaru. Pretty roomy, comfortable, peppy handling, and very good gas milage.
March 4, 2021The tan leather seats are very poor quality. Started to stain after one year and are now ripping.
February 14, 2024Overall this car is great for me personally! I like a car that is semi low to the ground while also being able to fit a lot in it and this car is just it!
