The Subaru Outback 3.6R is the absolute best iteration of the Outback. Test driven model years 2013, 2015 & 2019 and the Outback just gets better and better. If you can find a 3.6R Limited trim level, be quick to snatch it up before I do -- LOL! I truly believe this wagon is worth every penny. ![]() Looking for a Used Outback in your area?CarGurus has 16,045 nationwide Outback listings starting at $2,000. |

The car I bought has alot more wrong with it then the seller told me. The first time I drove it the oil light came on and after taking it to a repair shop we found out its got an oil leak , the fluids hadnt been changed, the brakes are bad, and the list goes on. I did get the car for 11,000$ instead of 11,500$ but its going to cost way more then that to fix it. Not a good deal for me. Ive learned a hard truth. People cant be trusted when it comes to money. Its heartbreaking for sure but hopefully once I put a few more thousand dollars into it itay be worth what I paid. I am thankful it wasnt worse. My advice is take your potential buy to a mechanic b4 handing over your hard earned cash! When they say it needs nothing its probably not true. |

2015 Outback Crossbar Is Curved!! — Subaru Outback for 2015 built-in rooftop crossbars are elliptical. Bicycle trays will tilt to one side. Does anyone out there know what risk attends to travelling at 70 MPH with bike on the rack tilted to one side? Was this designed by a marketing guy (or gal) that wanted to give Subaru the exclusive market for roof top carriers on the outback? The design cannot be used with your already expensive carriers. It surely wasn't designed by anyone carrying a bicycle. This is an example of a profit mentality that designs a system that cannot accommodate a Thule or Yakima cross bar (both well-designed, R&D etc.etc.). No thought or courtesy given to cycles and other roof top needs that require level bar for secure transport. Just design a feature that gives you the exclusive accessory market. These are the little bits of greed that eat way at a market. drip by drip Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: overall good car with Subaru history of quality. Drives well with basic 2.5L engine. Just a little longer than anticipated on steering radius. With seats down the cabin provides plenty of room for carrying around hobby & sports equipment. Except (see below) Cons: The roof rails permit no use other than engaging Subaru crossbars and Subaru accessories - that still leave you with your expensive cycle "tilted" to one side. |
