Amazing Affordable Suv — I feel very safe and in control while driving. Acceleration, braking and handling are superior. I love the Eco and Sport modes. Very reliable, fun and comfortable to drive. I would definitly recommend this as a first suv, its very affordable.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Love the look and feel of this SUV.

Cons: Previously owned a Pontiac Grand Am, so I am experiencing a change in how much gas it uses.

Tesla Inside — I love the ev part of the vehicle, but not the toyota portion. It is reliable at the moment but could be quieter and more comfortable. Infotainment could use a lot of work as well. It works well for its intended purpose though and can haul around family and cargo. Only available EV SUV at the moment and made for California carb compliance.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Tesla drivetrain and batteries

Cons: Toyota bland interior and not that comfortable.

Does What We Need — Does everything we need, at a price that is extremely reasonable for what we have. Great value, great reliability, perfect fit! My wife absolutely loves the car, and the backup camera has kept her from backing into the utility trailer, like she did with our 2010 rav.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Perfect family car for the wife!

Cons: NONE YET

It's Ok, At Best — Would not buy another. Wife is ok with it, but underwhelmed. Combined gas mileage in low 20s is disappointing given whimpy motor. Needs a 6 cylinder and a better Bluetooth microphone. No one can understand us when we use it.

Pros: Nice fit and finish in the interior. It's what my wife liked the most.

Cons: Desperately needs a six cylinder. Way underpowered. Bluetooth microphone for phone is awful. Been replaced and it still is terrible.

Nice ride, comfortable for both myself and my husband. We love the ease of entering and exiting the vehicle. It has excellent pickup, even with the ECHO mode. Glad I made this purchase. Our grandkids car seats fit nicely and are not crammed in.

2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE Review
says:
I just bought this and it has 30k on it. I also drove the 2014 and 2015. In the fwd and the awd. The LE and the XLE. I bought the 2013 because with the miles and condition it was a fantastic price and 2k less then the 2014s and 2015s. It was noiser than the newer ones but no more! I had read a review where someone had put a mat in the back. We had some thick insulation material that was just the right size for the back. We put in it, covered it with toyota mat that came with the car and the difference was amazing. It is more quiet than the 2015. We knew we were going to put something there anyway because we transport dogs and wanted the cargo area to be more level with the back seats folded down. This was perfect. Car runs great, handles great, and is gorgeous.
