The Last Automobile I Will Ever Own (i Hope) — Since I am only averaging somewhere around 5-6,000 mile a year and only have 29,000 miles on the SUV now, it should and can get me to the day I give up driving altogether. ( I hope). The automobile is so easy to drive with great road handling and it is very comfortable. It also has all the bells and whistles that you could ever want, with cargo space galore, 17" tires and it is a beautiful car to look at. What more can I say. I love the car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great SUV for the money.

Cons: I feel it should get a little better gas mileage.  Mostly city driving and getting 17 mile per gallon.

Smart! — I loved the room for the grandkids and fuel economy:-) It was easy on fuel for my trips to my jobs and looked great! A good value for anyone looking for a family vehicle that doesn't look like a mini van!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Excellent fuel economy compared to what I was used to!

Cons: Light colored interior was not for me!

Love My Sporty Escape! — I've owned this SUV since April 2013. It was a former rental and came with 35k miles on it -- but was very well maintained and I've had no problems. I've driven it about 8k miles on long road trips alone in the past year! I use it to go tent camping, carry my kayak on top, plus 2 dogs inside. Plenty spacious for just me, if you have more than 2 kids go for an Explorer.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I really love the look of this body style - 2012 is the last year of its availability. The rear seat is really easy to collapse and provide a large cargo space for trips to Home Depot!

Cons: None yet.

I Love It! — I'm a new Ford comer. I have always had a Chrysler up until now. I like it. Its fast, easy on the eyes, not a flaw in her. I love driving her. Her acceleration is great. I have a V6 4WD Limited & loving it. Ford has impressed me!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Basically everything

Cons: Piano black finish gets really dirty :(

I Would So Get Another One!! — I couldn't stand giving up my 11' Escape XLT 4WD V6, so, i got a 2012 Limited. I love my car & wouldn't want to get anything else. I love driving her, she's good on gas, no repairs needed, awsome truck all the way through.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

I Really Like It — Nothing really, it is what I wanted in the first place a baby SUV. I'm 70 and love the convenience of a SUV but most were to big, unnecessary for me. Drives really well on the expressway and very well in town. Parks like a dream.

Pros: Everything, mostly I love the way it U turns. It's very easy to get in and out.  Load up the seat. Good gas mileage in the town/city.  Love the computer and the backup camera.

Cons: I haven't found much.  Little noisy.  Arm rest is in an awkward position for me.  I need a power lift thing for the rear door.

Loved It — Handled well in the winter. Great MPG. Lots of room. Good for kids and pets. Moon roof was awesome. The Sync system was more interactive than OnStar. XM radio was a super bonus. Highly recommend to anyone considering themselves a road warrior.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Handles great. 28MPG. Great all around car

Cons: Couldn't haul a horse trailer with it, but it wasn't meant for it!

says:
Love My 2001 Ford Escape. 194k and running strong. Great winter car & summer with the sunroof. Lots of cargo space and roof rack for the canoe. Up high comfortable ride. V6 gets 19 to 24 miles a gallon. Tow package pulls lawn/garden tractors, 4 wheelers & motorcycles with ease.

2012 Ford Escape XLT 4WD Review
says:
I found the V6 AWD to perform better than the I4 model that I took for test drive. I was planning on getting the AWD version anywhere for Winter weather. I have had several 4 cylinder vehicles over the years and they are fine for around town driving and do get better gas mileage. When you have the whole family and all their stuff the V6 models seem to shine more brightly.

Power Ranked 2012 Ford Escape XLT worse.
"With three adults in the vehicle it seemed that the V6 model took less effort and quicker acceleration ramping up to highway cruising speed. I dont know if it was V6/I4 difference, 2WD/4WD or combination of both. I bought the V6 w/ 4WD."
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2012 Ford Escape XLT worse.
"There was no option for same or NA. These models have the exact same cargo capacity."
