The thermostat gauge on my car keeps dropping while I'm driving then it slowly and gradually goes back to normal. Never overheats but keeps dropping intermittently. I've replaced the sensor but do I need to do it again or could it be the thermostat?

I am considering the purchase of a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L with a •2.4L DOHC MPFI 16-valve i-VTEC I4 engine and 95,900 miles. The asking price is $9995. The dealer just reduced the price from $19995 to $9995. When I asked about it he said he has just had it on his lot a long time and he just needs to move it. I am wondering if you could tell me if this engine or this model Accord is prone to any know problems and if so, how serious that might be. Also, what do you think of the price. Does it signal a problem to you? I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your help with this. I am a widow on a very limited income. Last week my 2010 Honda Accord EX-L started to have this loud humming noise coming from my engine. Its sounds like I have loud exhaust but its from the engine not the muffler. Any ideas on what it is? We have a 100,000 powertrain warranty and another warranty as well. Trying to figure out what the deal could be. There is no noise if its in park or reverse, only drive and as you accelerate it gets louder.
