2009 Cadillac CTS Trims and Specs

The base trim of Cadillac’s 2009 CTS lineup, the CTS 3.6L SFI (Sequential Fuel Injection) luxury five-passenger sedan offers not only the Cadillac name, but rear-wheel drive and a 3.6-liter V6 SFI engine mated with a standard six-speed manual transmission, or optional six-speed automatic, that’ll put out 263 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque and get 18/26 mpg. Standard comfort, convenience, and appearance features across the entire CTS line include 17-inch painted alloy wheels, leather-trimmed upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat, cruise control, simulated wood and genuine leather trim accents, front and rear floor mats, dual-zone front climate control, and a single-CD player with eight speakers, and Sirius/XM satellite radio. Options for the CTS include Cadillac's Premium Luxury Collection, with an upgraded Bose premium audio system, Bluetooth hands-free communications technology, 18-inch aluminum wheels, a universal remote transmitter, and a sport tuned suspension, and the Performance Collection Package, with the available six-speed automatic tranny as well as such creature comforts as a DVD navigation system, double-size power sunroof, and rear parking sensors.

When a bit more acceleration and torque are desired, Cadillac’s higher midlevel trim, the 2009 CTS 3.6L SIDI (Spark-Ignited Direct Injection) hits the pavement with a direct-injected 3.6-liter SIDI V6 engine churning out 304 hp at 6,400 rpm and 273 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. A six-speed auto-manual transmission urges the horses from 0 to 60 in 6.5 seconds, with an EPA-estimated 16/25 mpg. A six-speed manual tranny is optional with the ’09 CTS 3.6L SIDI AWD. Standard safety features for all CTS trims include four-wheel disc ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency braking assistance, traction control, stability control, and side curtain airbags.

The lower midlevel trim of Cadillac’s popular 2009 CTS lineup, the CTS 3.6L SFI AWD features, as its moniker implies, full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) for added control in wintry weather. Powered by a sequentially fuel-injected 3.6-liter V6 and equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, or optional six-speed auto-manual tranny, and a center limited-slip mechanical differential, the CTS 3.6L SFI AWD will churn out 263 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque. The EPA estimates 17/25 mpg.

For those in a bit of a hurry to get where they’re going in the snow, Cadillac’s 2009 CTS 3.6L SIDI AWD trim is just what the doctor ordered. This top-of-the-line CTS trim features the 304-hp, 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 that’s combined with a standard auto-manual or optional six-speed manual transmission to crank out 273 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 is estimated by the EPA to get 17/26 mpg with the automatic transmission. Oh, and about that snow, a limited-slip mechanical center differential and, of course, full-time all-wheel drive is standard equipment on the 3.6L SIDI AWD trim.
