Having debuted in "Casino Royale," the first James Bond moving starring Daniel Craig, Aston Martin's DBS returns in production form in "Quantum of Solace," sharing the actor's intention to return a touch of ruthlessness and menace to its brand. The 2009 DBS gets power from a 5.9-liter, DOHC V12 engine that snorts air through nostril-like vents in the car's long hood. This engine produces 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 RPM and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, although an automatic transmission with paddle shifters is also offered. With a claimed top speed of 191 mph, the DBS has a UK-inflected 0 to 62 mph time (that's 0 to 100km/h) of 4.3 seconds.
The DBS incorporates technology from Aston's DBR9 American Le Mans racecars, most notably ceramic composite brakes, the first ever offered on a production Aston Martin. While one test driver called them noisy and another thought they should grab more quickly, all agree they have the power to stop the car very quickly. Its huge, 48-valve V12 creates a sound some drivers will not want to drown out, but the DBS includes a very powerful Bang & Olufson audio system for those who prefer man-made music.
Production numbers for the DBS will be small indeed, but with a base price of more than a quarter-million dollars, not to mention a mileage rating of 12/18 mpg, it will remain out of reach for the vast majority.

This model I’m particularly looking forward to driving. The DBS is a beautiful expression of British Enginering but the manual transmission was a must for me. I may be making a few

I love the acceleration it's very powerful and the abs makes the braking easier
and the handling is very good i didn't know Aston Martins could turn so good.
When I first bought it it was all shiny and now it's still the pic' is from July 2010
she looks brand new.
The interior is made with leather and wood but I wanted it to be built with silver
metal.
She pumps a lot of gas but that's fine because I love going fast.
This car is very exiting when it starts from 0 to 100 km/h in about only 4.6

This car has a 7.9L V-12 capible of a top speed of 189mph, and a 0-60 of 3.8 seconds. The car is made out of a light weight medal, makes the car faster but really bad for the crash rating (not that i want to see one end up in a crash). The car is around $330,000 which makes it a dream car and not a car you will see very often. I think this car would be fun every second it was running.Nov 30, 2009

0 - 100 in 4.2 sec,. top 315 km 0 - 100 - 0 in 5.1 sec. got it a month ago no rattling of squeaks does not need repairs for another year. it looks fantasic and and its the most comfy out of the ferrari, porsch, maserati and mclaren. its a deisel so i only need to change it after 500 km. ive driven the car round the track heaps of times but it just gos faster and gets better every timeOct 31, 2009
