The 2022 Aston Martin DBS is a dramatic, thrilling super-sports car that has been offered in its current design since the 2019 model year. The DBS features a potent V12 power plant that is tucked as far back as possible, yielding a performance-focused, front-mid engine layout. It is offered as a coupe or as the Volante convertible. Both provide heavily bolstered heated front seats and smaller rear seats that can be used in a pinch. The DBS provides nine cubic feet of trunk space, so you may end up tossing an extra bag in those small rear seats.
The DBS doors tilt slightly upwards upon opening, which is an Aston Martin signature design theme. They give way to a lavish cockpit that’s bathed in leather and soft-touch surfaces. An 8-inch touchscreen caps off the dash and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard features include navigation, satellite radio, two USB ports, and a 400-watt, nine-speaker premium stereo system. A Bang & Olufsen audio system is optional.
Aston Martin offers multiple interior cabin design themes, including “Accelerate,” “Create,” and “Inspire.” If that’s not personalized enough, there are countless areas of cabin customization… for a price, of course.
The Aston Martin DBS boasts a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12. It develops 715 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The DBS Coupe is capable of sprinting from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 211 mph. The DBS features a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, and carbon-ceramic disc brakes.
This potent powertrain returns EPA-estimated fuel economy of 14 mpg city, 22 highway, and 17 combined.
Driver-assistance features are limited to front-and-rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree parking camera system.
Base MSRP for the 2022 Aston Martin DBS is $319,125. The DBS Volante convertible starts at $337,525. The DBS is backed by a 3-year/unlimited-mile powertrain warranty.
