With a 5 cylinder engine, the 2007 VW Rabbit has nice, but not amazing pickup. The frame is solid and heavy, which must weigh it down a bit in comparison to the 2007 VW Eos I drive. The turning radius is excellent. The interior is very basic, but clearly withstands the years since the vehicle we bought was a 2007 and the interior is pristine. This is our first week with the car, and other than the tires needing to be balanced, the car seems like a good used car purchase.

One year was enough for me. Had great experience with my 1990 VW Fox that I drove in California til 2001. 224,000 miles of happy ownership. Cars made in Brasil are longer lasting.

2007 Volkswagen Rabbit 2.5 — Performance - 2.5L- Inline 5, Great car for family. I recommend getting a volkswagen GTI if you want performace. Build Quality - Decent, Plastic and sheetmetal. Appearance - Interior made out of plastic mostly, The back seats are horrible, not comfy at all. heated seats, auto windos, door locks, etc. nice car over all. Cost of Ownership - 20-30 paying to fill up gas. really good on gas. Fun Factor - Going on long trips, 6 cd player.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Overall its a good car.

Cons: Back seats are not comfy, Plastic Interior could be better.

Practical And Reliable — This car has been fantastic since we purchased it in 2012. We are the second owners and have never needed any maintenance on the car in this time. The car has more get-up than most people think, and is the smoothest clutch i've ever driven. All around a great car and has held its value incredibly well.

Pros: gas mileage, visibility, functionality, never needed to be repaired - extremely reliable, high safety rating

Cons: smaller back seat (2-door), import (higher cost to repair)

Vw Rabbit Is A Great Transporter — I bought this car thinking I would tolerate a small car to save on gas compared to driving my 3/4 ton truck. Well, I certainly save on gas (although not as good as promised) but I actually love the car. You feel like you are driving a sports car. You can haul a few hockey players and their equipment. The german engineering is precise and responsive. I really think this is the best small car you could own.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: tight, great handling and no wind noise

Cons: road noise with low pro tires

Love It. Then I Hate It. Then Love It Again. — It's got enough power for what i need. Door handle doesnt work sometimes. Gauge cluster is lit up like vegas with some german sign language. Oh yeah, thanks for putting the frame in my way volkswagen. My axle is mating with it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Free Candy

Cons: None

I Want To Buy Another One — No one has really taken this car to its potential in performance and looks, but witht he upgrades, this is a "get it all done in one sha-bang" type of car. beautiful design and great sounding engine when its opened up properly again vw has the ergonomics down to a tee. loved long spirited drives with this wabbit

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: flexible for any job

Cons: fuel mileage could be better

I Love My Rabbit! — I love my Rabbit! It's reliable, so far the best car I have owned. Has upgrades that you can buy for it at anytime, it's low cost to maintain. I love the appearance both interior and exterior, and the car handles like a dream as far as front wheel drive goes, so I'm sure to have fun driving it! LOL!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: the stripe on the front hood and Neuspeed components.

Cons: The intake, LOL, but that's supposed to!

Happy Bunnies — The rabbit has decent power (150hp an 170 ft/lbs) so it can still hit 210km/h. It's handling is extremely nimble for a daily driver, without being rough... In fact, I would call the ride quite pleasant. The torque is sufficient to drive around town without leaving third gear for a right turn. It's fuel economy is quite good as well, not as good as a civic, but the Rabbit is much much much nicer to drive. The interrior noise is quite low and the heated seats add a very high level of comfort. As for how fun it is... because of it's taught suspension and hatchback design, navigating city traffic is a blast! The interrior quality is very high, actually higher than anything I've seen in the price category. The cost of ownership isn't excessive, in fact, I would call it very cheap for a German made car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great ride and handling

Cons: ummm... nothing really sucks about the rabbit... I would rather have a GTI... but then I would have too many speeding tickets :)
