This 5-passenger vehicle is Mercury's mid-sized sport-utility offering, and it's based on the Ford Escape. With more efficiency than power, it's a good choice for those who like the height and practicality of an SUV but don't want to go broke on gasoline. The Mariner is good-looking, with some nice touches such as wood-grain and brushed-aluminum accents and chrome door handles. The utility factor is certainly there, too, as you'll have 66.3 cubic feet of cargo space when the back seats are folded flat. The cushions must be removed to get the back row flat, and that's a minor inconvenience. For 2007 there are nine exterior colors, and for the interior, two cloth choices and four for leather. All-wheel drive, a roof rack, and running boards are among the options available to max out the SUV factor. Mercury has put together several groupings of options, for instance the Moon & Tune Package, which includes a power moonroof, upgraded audio system, and roof rack. There are six different trims of the 2007 Mariner.

Well worth every penny and hate selling it but I need a truck. Smooth ride on and off the freeway. Nible in the snow with all wheel drive. Very peppy . A little too much road noise in the rear for my taste but not unbearable.Mar 30, 2013

No compren Mercury Sucks! el servicio,, no tienen piezas de repuesto para arregarlo rapido... y el servicio es demasiado caro y no te da mas que ford por ejemplo. Por otro lado es una camioneta comoda y me da 8 km por litro con un V6 80% carretera 20% ciudad.Aug 22, 2008

I have always loved the Mercery Products. I have owned 2 Villagers and a Grand Marquis. I think the Mariner is very stylish for a SUV and I look forward to finding that perfect one to own for years. Apr 29, 2008

My 2007 Mercury Mariner will not stay running unless giving it gas. It starts great. What could it be?
Drove fine this morning and then when I started it again, it started running rough and turns off when my foot is off the gas.
