2007 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S550 Review
Mercedes Sl550 — The look of this car is beyond beautiful/classy, it is prestiges. It is a very comfortable ride. I feel like I'm gliding every time i drive it. The suspension is great. I didn't notice any blind spots. I only took it to the shop for an oil change. The cost was fair but could have been better. This cars acceleration is fast and it feels like you are getting shot out of a slingshot. The brake is amazing and reliable. I was in a few moments where i had to press down hard and they were good. The handling is amazing and reliable. It is very nice and smooth and is all about class. I felt safe driving this car because i know that this is Mercedes and i trust them for there german engineering. I feel like I'm in control when i am driving it. This car is a blast to drive. Primary Use: Family transportation

Cons: The gas was expensive because i didn't really care for saving gas so i wouldn't keep the rmp low. Taking it to a mechanic is going to cost you if you go to the wrong one. Superb — I will let you know. Very quite. Acceleration is great. Braking is excellant. I fell very safe in this car and in control. Car does use more gas than its predecessor the s 500 class, but that is due to the bigger engine. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Great ride and all around beautiful car. Allways receiving compliments. Cons: Car should allways stay clean |

S65 — 604hp , 738 lb Torque, Mean machine who means business. When she is on road it says don't get in my way. Its handles excellently on turns. Seats literally grabs me as I turn. Very expensive when she goes to the shop. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Lots of compliments Cons: Super Expensive |

Like Driving Around In Your Own First Class Concert Hall — Amazing amount of luxury and technology. So silky smooth and comfortable, it's an amazing road-trip machine as well as just getting around town in style. The heated/cooled massage seats and dynamic bolsters are incredible. Rear seats are so cavernous, you could get lost in them. But good thing it also has nav, so you can find your way home. Looks great, very solidly built and engineered vehicle. Great performance for a 2 ton car. Definitely felt safe, and it was surprisingly fun to drive despite the size and weight. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Excellent Car; It Is The Best Car I Had So Far Among The 15 Cars. — Lots of room in the front and the back seats. Reilable car. Best of all it only requires service once a year or every 10K miles. Large fuel tank; so you are not forced to stop frequently for gas. Great overall Looks. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Smooth Ride, excellent handling; very powrfull engine. Cons: Not the best gas mileage in the city. |

An Expensive Piece Of Junk — A good looking piece of junk that Mercedes should be a shame of themselves for ripping off the public with. They should test these cars thoroughly before releasing them with the 100k price tag. Damn car stays in the shop more than in my garage. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Luxury car that looks great. Cons: Piece of crap for quality. At 50k, I had to replace the ball joints , which is the upper and lower control arms. Left and right side needed to be replace because my car sound like an old 1968 squeaking station wagon. Also, I have had electrical issues. My command center goes out without warning . Also, this 100k car does not have an iPod connection nor satellite connection. Heck, my friends 2004 Kia has these basic features as standard. I need to spend $700 for an iPod connection on an S550 mercedes. Between the 1,000 mth payment and the expensive repairs, make sure your bank account is stacked. Oh, I forgot, my passenger seat squeaks and rattles, which is a known issue with these cars. What a bad investment for a piece of crap. My Pontiac grand am has 280k miles and other than oil changes, a timing belt at 150k miles, that car has been flawless. |

Pleasure To Own And Drive — The experience of picking it up in Europe was wonderful. I'd recommend that to anyone considering a Mercedes ---they do an absolutely outstanding job with the delivery process ---sign up for the "Rally Package" its the frosting on a life time experience. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Great car --- its beautiful inside and out. Quality is excellent. Cons: Dealer service is priced out of site even for simple stuff like an oil change. Mercedes has a dark side --they cater to the foolish and the snobs. They will travel over 100 miles to pick up a car for service. Its "free" --- like everytihing else in this world that's "free", its a matter of who pays for it and in this case its us! That's why a simple oil change can cost close to $300 ! See? That covers the "free" !!! |
