Im a fan of this model though if ypu can afford a newer Gen I would go with 2014+ the technology is outdated in anything older and the cost to retrofit technology isnt worth the money. Common issues with the 2007-2014 generation is air ride suspension failure, light bulbs, transmission failure at higher miles, interior cosmetics tends to be cheaper than expected for the MSRP price tag. . If taken care of this ride will take care of you. Try finding one with low miles. Less that 100k miles for a max of 18k. Save yourself the 12k-15k with 100k+miles if only wanting to drive an S-class, the maintenance will costs you more than youre prepared for. Save that 10k-12k use it as a down-payment on a 2016-2019 with less miles, newer technologies, and most likely a warranty. Believe me you WANT the warranty. The S-class and SL-class have the most moving parts in the Mercedes-Benz fleet meaning it leaves more room for a failure of some sort. Hope this helps

The look of this car is beyond beautiful/classy, it is prestiges. It is a very comfortable ride. I feel like I'm gliding every time i drive it. The suspension is great. I didn't notice any blind spots. I only took it to the shop for an oil change. The cost was fair but could have been better. This cars acceleration is fast and it feels like you are getting shot out of a slingshot. The brake is amazing and reliable. I was in a few moments where i had to press down hard and they were good. The handling is amazing and reliable. It is very nice and smooth and is all about class. I felt safe driving this car because i know that this is Mercedes and i trust them for there german engineering. I feel like I'm in control when i am driving it. This car is a blast to drive.

Very reliable car and the performance is beyond perfection! My 2015 Bentley is not even close to this car. The only issue is I had to get work on the transmission at 210k. And the amg wheels always crack, besides that the car has been more reliable than any Japanese car Ive ever owned

I bought a 2007 S550 because I wanted a full sized luxury car with lots of features at a very low price. My risk is that the car experiences repair issues that make it a poor value. But for around $10,000 Ive got a car that originally sold for $100,000 with lots of power and comfort. I will take that risk.
