In its 16th year on the market, the Hyundai Elantra line has a new sibling, the 2007. With a 2.0-liter, 138hp 4 cylinder engine under the hood, the 2007 Hyundai Elantra is an excellent compact sedan. A 5 speed manual transmission comes standard in the Elantra, with a 4 speed automatic as an option. Gas mileage in this sedan is excellent, especially for a non-hybrid, at 28/36 miles per gallon. The 2007 Hyundai Elantra is a simple sedan as far as comforts go. Air conditioning, cruise control, steering mounted controls, and CD player are the major comforts available. For the first time, the Elantra line does have the option of heated seats, though not on all of the trims. In today's market, the Elantra isn't overly burdened with comforts, but it certainly has enough for any normal person. And as far as safety goes, this front wheel drive has ABS and front and side airbags.
Owners are very fond of the 2007 Hyundai Elantra. The biggest complaint I found was that it didn't have enough power, but it is a 4 cylinder after all. Several people also commented on the sparseness of the interior, especially compared to other year-models. However, there seemed to be enough comforts to keep the majority of people happy. The Hyundai Elantra seems to work well as a mid-line, smaller sedan for the single commuter.

This 2007 Hyundai Elantra is a stylish car for the model and has its pros and cons just like every car. With a fuel efficiency that can last you two weeks with one fill up to a smooth riding car with out hassel to worry about at the end of the day. Jul 06, 2013

I bought this Elantra from Steve Tillman on beach blvd in Jacksonville
I love everything about the car and the dealer. My Elantra is loaded with lots of power
equipment and looks like a new one. I highly recommend checking out a Hyundai over the other big name importsJun 19, 2013

Best in it's class. If i had to do it over, i would change nothing. The interior has a modern and fun dashboard. They did a great job making the steering just as smooth as a Automatic transmition. Little to no maitnence.Feb 12, 2013

Good for getting around town, but it has no grunt. There's not even enough
power to cause mild torque steer. Subject to wind buffeting. Decent gas
consumption. Not a lot of fun to drive, but it's comfortable and has a lot of room.May 02, 2010

performance: good riding/handling on good weather days, but if windy/raining it moves with the wind have to hold firmly on to steering wheel to keep control, car not to sway.
Appearance: excellance sporty/slick look in quick silver. exterior nice matches exterior w/trims of black.
fun Factor: I like to shift gear on it , it accelerates good and fast when need it.
Build Quility: I Keep up with regular maintenance as cloose to mile as possible, it some time feel as if it doesn't pick up speed when at average drive speed on streets.

What I like from this car is that it's incredibly economical, about 6 to 7 L/100km. It is also spacious. Good family car. I'm a little bit disapointed of the paint quality even if I bought a supplemental warranty for the paint. There are tons of spiderweb looking on the top surface. Overall, it is a good car that gives what I'm expecting from this type of car.Aug 05, 2009

Excellent car for the price. Comfortable and very fuel efficient. Great on the highway. Looks stylish - much bigger than previous Elantras. I would definitely buy another Hyundai (hoping to have enough for a Sonata someday). Not a sporty car, but still fun to drive, and practical too. No problems at all yet.Nov 19, 2008

I like that it is an unusual car to try to fix up and make it look and perform good. Because of that everything i do to it makes it unique and special because its not like you can just go out and buy the parts. It is all custom done.Oct 08, 2008

good. The brake and gas are the perfect sensitivity and the sound system is nice.Feb 19, 2008

Lots of features including a few that the Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic don't offer. More features are standard on the Elantra SE than Corolla or Civic. Plus, the Elantra SE costs less than a less-equipped Corolla LE or Civic. Take a look at the Pros and Cons for more detail.Feb 13, 2008

I bought this car 5 months ago and i like it. its a nice and more sophisticated looking than my previous car. It has anough room when I go out with my friends, everyone is comfortable.the arm rest with the cup holders is a nice touch in my opinion (even though i dont let anyone eat or drink in my car yet lol). Overall, i give this 3rd generation Elantra 9 out of 10.Jan 08, 2008

A beautiful car to drive, the manual transmission is smooth and effortless. Very quite interior during normal driving. The steering is a little loose during hard braking and in sharp turns. Overall I would recommend the Elantra to anyone looking for value for their dollar. The only concern is the long term durability of the vehicle. I guess I will find out in a few years.Aug 25, 2007

Drove and bought the 07 Elantra 04/07. Small things like water bottle holders in the door panel, adjustable rear seat head rests, adequate rear seat leg room without having the front seat passengers with their knees in their face, these are a few of the features I like. The ride is firm but not choppy, tracks well, interior sound levels @ 60-70 mph, while not library quiet,I think are acceptable for this class vehicle. Engine performance is average, not spectacular, but not a slug either.Freeway merging, passing, and hill climbing are accomplished without the driver wishing he/she had another inch of accelerator pedal to mash down on, and mine's not even broke in yet.Transmission (4 speed auto) shifts smooth and without protest. Fuel economy, so far my first tank was 27 mpg combined, more slow and go and city than full out highway driving.
I also have and recommend XM satellite radio, a definite plus if you spend 100 min a day or more commuting. All this plus leather and heated seats for under 19K.I recommend it.Apr 28, 2007
I am trying to make my hyundai a little bit more powerfull and custom. i cannot find any parts that i can get in the states. only in canada. kinda way outa my way. and a tad bit expensive. does anyone have any ideas that are custom or know of a place that has parts for that car.
