Love It When All Is Well, But It's Quirky — Overall I love it, but it has required several repairs over the years. Amp (sound) went out about $400, an issue in the gear box was about $800, some recalls, and inconvenient to get to the headlight bulbs in the '07's. Otherwise, very comfortable ride, and stylish in my opinion. I love it when it's running well!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Sharp looking, 3rd row seating

Cons: Has had several recalls. Have to take off the tire to change the headlight.

It's American — it's the best family vehicle that's not a minivan. However, it's still american made and that means reliability is still a problem. Check the Acadia forums for all the problems with the Acadia. Why does GM keep putting this V6 and it's transmission with all the problems its experiencing?

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: roominess

    Cons: maintenance

Looks And Handles Terrific. Love This Vehicle — I love the way it handles; especially in the winter. I was a bit worried about it as I have always had four wheel drive vehicles; but it handles possibly better. Lots of room and love the third row seating.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I love my Acadia. It has been pretty reliable.  Ive had a couple of issues with it; but overall a pretty good vehicle.

Cons: Something going on with the power steering making a odd and annoying noise, service air bag and the low oil pressure light keeps coming on; but have been told that they are nothing to worry about and so far it is true.

It Looks Great, But It Is A Maintenance Nightmare — If this car represents 'American' build quality, then I will look elsewhere. We have had nothing but issues ever since we purchased this. It came with GMC certification warranty and we purchased the extended warranty(thank god). We have still had to pay all the co-pays, a lot of the issued are common sense cheap crap.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It has a lot of space and seats are confortable.

Cons: Build quality. Multiple problems, tranny dropped at 50k miles, A/C, headlights, brakes.... the list goes on of problems.

Get Your Go On! — A comfortable roamy, safe vehicle that gets good gas milage. great for road trips and gear. Spaciously comfortable for car camping. Fabulous sound system Bosc speakers, back seat has own system to plug head phones into. I have really enjoyed this acadia. It's just big for our driveway and only having one child.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great for gear and outdoor adventures and friends

Cons: the automatic back hatch can be an annoying feature

It Is A Stylish And Comfortable Ride. Easy On The Gas And Budget. — I love the way it rides and handles. I am addicted to the heated seats and XM radio. Very easy to drive and easy to afford. Interior is easy to keep clean with plenty of cup holders for everyone. Love it!

Pros: Great gas mileage for its class.  Lots of room for family and friends.  Extremely comfortable for long car rides.

Cons: It occasionally will have a manufacturers recall but all are taken care of and up to date.

Nice Looking Poorly Built Cheap — Relaibility, after 9 recals in 2 1/2 year not exactly good quality. Had to change my timing belt because the oil wear prematurely. Wipers failed, door caster broke, Passenger seat broke. I am not impressed and will never by a GM anymore

The Family Car — Comfy, but slow in the acceleration. The looks and the interior are the most appealing features of this "crossover".

    Pros: Well appointed interiors

    Cons: Slow acceleration, sometimes unresponsive.
