Limited edition is loaded with comfort features, good value used, good visibility Im 5 ft 6 in and I have no trouble seeing around me while driving, lots of cargo space. Reminds me of a ford taurus but much bigger Minus 1 star due to slightly underpowered engine for a car this heavy and handling around curves at higher speed like highway entrance/exits takes getting used to

The freestyle is a very maintenence free, dependable vehicle. We have owned a 2006 for 3 years now.,and all we have had to do to it was replace the overhead cam and waterpump assembly, and put an alternate and new battery in it last week. It has a lot of power for a 6 cylinder car. It is definitely a reliable, cost efficient vehicle..

Excellent Family Vehicle/highway Cruiser — This is (was) a great car that Ford mis-marketed! It blows the Ford Edge away with its ride quality and passenger/cargo capacity. Based on a car chassis, it just cruises like a long-wheelbased limo on the highway. Mine has every option imaginable except satellite radio: full power--even power adjustable gas and brake pedals!--moon roof; navigation; rear heat and a/c; multi-disc CD player; DVD player(s)--front and rear!--with wireless headphones; second row reclining bucket seats and second console; multi-driver memory for seat/mirror settings; back-up sensors/alarm; 18" alloy wheels; homelink; privacy glass; rear wiper/washer and defroster; auto-dimming mirror; heated outside mirrors; full leather interior; split, fold-down 3rd row seats; roof rack rails; and the list goes on! Great family car! All seats except the driver's fold flat so you have an almost 10 foot long cargo area floor.

Pros: Too many to list!

Cons: A little underpowered for accelerating onto highway ramps, fast passing, etc.  The only other issue I have--and it's purely personal--I find this vehicle a bit too long/large for local every day driving around shopping centers, parking lots, etc.  (I jump into our Ford Escape for local shopping/bopping around.)

Beware! Very Bad Transmission, Very Expensive Fix/replace, Replace Again By bkkjot

Even though the gas milage wasn't great, I loved this car until the AWD went out under 3 years and then the transmission in it's third year. Ford no longer makes this car and now I know why, I wish I... Read More

Freestyle 2005 By PatM15537

This is a nice family car with lots of room. It has fair pick-up on acceleration and brakes well. The low profile gives it good handling in wind and stable ride on most any surface. The major weakn... Read More
