The 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser saw a number of important changes. First, the engine was upgraded, improving horsepower and torque. It got a new grille, headlights, and taillights, and a redesigned instrument panel. The 2006 Land Cruiser also got a number of new options, including a new rear spoiler and hydraulic automatic height control.
The 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser came in one, well-equipped trim level. The engine was a 4.7-liter 275 horsepower V8. The only available transmission was a five-speed automatic, and the four-wheel-drive was permanently engaged. The '06 Land Cruiser seated eight, with a removable third-row seat for extra storage. Fuel economy was about 13/17 mpg.
Drivers were very enthusiastic about the 2006 Land Cruiser's additional horsepower. The Land Cruiser was also still popular for its combination of authentic off-road capability and luxurious interior. Many drivers do complain about the low gas mileage, and many find the third-row seat to be suitable for children only.

Overall excellent and nothing drives likem! But a bit underpowered ( by todays standards)and can be tricky to get wrenched on if you dont live in a fairly large metropolitan area. But, dont let that scare you off - theyre still the best vehicle ever built! Oh, and the sweet spot is 03-06 - the perfect blend of luxury and grit!Dec 19, 2022

Literally the best SUV ever manufactured. Bullet-proof reliability, luxury transportation on road or off. Room to seat eight people comfortably. Looks great with out being ostentatious. Holds its value really well. I have really enjoyed driving this vehicle around. I highly recommend this vehicle.Apr 14, 2014

It can tow over 7000 pounds and still get 13 mpg. The brakes
are really good, and it weighs MUCH more than you think. the
downside... It gets 14 mpg when not towing. It seats five
adults in comfort. I just don't have the heart to put any of my
adult friends in the far back seats. Although the kids seem to

this car have good power, what i dont like with this car is its quality, for a car that is more pricer than e-class, it should hv better quality. n also it not very stabile in high speed eventough it hav air suspension n sport mode on it. but this car is full with entertainment n technology easeness, like phone, map, internet, harman kardon sound system n more. one more think i dont like with this car, is its middle seat, it can be adjusted n so unconvinencFeb 05, 2010

its an amazing car which has good acceleration braking and
great handling..its hard and hence does not need any
repairs..well exterior is fine but interior is just fine(will meet

I don't have to say anything about this car as it is an internationally recognized legend. The king of all SUV's. Excellent off-road capabilities and decent on the road as well. Vastly customizable to meet your personal needs. Easily transformable from a family station wagon to a bad ass dirt eating off-road machine. Highly versatile.

Hi Just before travelling with my 2006 Toyota land cruiser 4.2, I changed the atf with a flushing machine. I used type T IV. After driving approximately 200 kms, the gearbox started operating in a weird manner. It would change gears with a knock, sometimes it felt as it was engaged in neutral. Soon it just stopped working and was completely in neutral. I had to be towed home. After some research I realized that I used the wrong atf. I was supposed to use WS. I drained the atf and put in the WS, but no results. The car can only reverse, but wont move forward. Can anyone please tell me what I can do to fix it? Thanks
