The 2006 Nissan Armada saw very few changes for 2006, which include mostly only comfort additions like heated mirrors in the LE and a 60/40 flat-folding seat across the lineup.
The 2006 Armada comes in two trims, the SE and LE, both of which come in various incarnations. The SE is available as a 4WD, 2WD, and the Off Road version. The LE is the more luxurious version, and is available as a 4WD or 2WD and comes standard with posh options like leather seating. The Armada has a 5.8-liter V8 engine that offers 305 horsepower.
Drivers appreciate the 2006 Armada's massive size, which allows for hauling plenty of people and cargo, and its surprisingly nimble handling. However, many have had serious problems with the brakes, enough that some people have accused the Armada of being a lemon.

This is the new addition to the family. She's pretty awesome. I've wanted a big truck for a loooong time and this fits the bill. Loving all the options it came with and it drives really nicely. Kiddos are happy with it as well.Jul 07, 2014

I bought this truck for my wife last year so she could have more room for kids and groceries. So it definitely filled the billet! Extremely fun to drive! A big massive ride with plenty of room for everyone. We love our Nissan Armada! Nov 10, 2013

We are a family of 7 so the Armada fit our family size well. Great on the highway and great for getting my kids and other neighborhood kids to and from school events games ect... A lot of space which makes for a very comfortable ride. Sep 09, 2012

My husband & I have a love/hate relationship with our Armada. Granted we did buy it with 90k on it, however with the price of these cars, 100k should just be breaking them in! We love the look, the size, the luxury & the power cannot be beat. However I am embarrassed to drive it because of all the noises that it makes. The breaks squeak the loudest I have ever heard any breaks squeak, there is another squeaking noise (maybe a belt?) while driving, yet another loud noise when the car is on that comes & goes but is totally embarassing. The sun roof needed a repair, the back up sensor & reverse lights stopped working & needed repaired, there is some rust underneath, the a/c is not working, the radio controls & lights do not work in the back. TOTAL LEMON. We've owned this car for 6 months & feel like we were totally taken. & the scariest problem of all is 3 times since we bought it, the emergency break light has come on, we have lost about 75% of our break function & there is a loud grinding sound. The only way to stop it is by turning off the car. Nissan claims they are unaware of the problem, yet a simple internet search will show hundreds if not thousands of people with the same, terrifying problem. Run away from this car if it's anywhere near 100,000k!!Jun 04, 2012

Very Fast . 5.6L V8 engine. no squeaks/ rattles. excellent design of
interiors/exterior. No major/minor repairs done. acceleration braking handling very
good. gas consumption just ok . u cant expect a 5.6l v8 engine that is very eco.
Fun factor?. its ok for a family outing and etcDec 01, 2010

Absolutely love our Armada. We just traded our 2008 pathfinder in for this 2006 armada. Loved the pathfinder, but it was just too small. The armada drives so nice, has every possible extra option, kids love the quad captains chairs and dvd player. I love that they can listen to a different radio station in the back. The auto lift gate will spoil you! Makes it nice when you have your hands full. The ONLY downside is the bad gas mileage, but that is expected, but it is actually about the same as what we were getting with our pathfinder, so not bad when it's twice the vehicle as the pathfinder! The selling point of Nissan over Toyota was how Nissan makes their seats fold totally flat - which gives more storage room PLUS Nissan gives you more vehicle for less money than Toyota. My parents have a 1991 Nissan pickup that is STILL running & never been in for a repair, so we have high respect for Nissan products. HIGHLY recommend! Love it, love it, love it!Nov 16, 2008

I rent and drove this SUV for a week. It's huge. Handling is fine considering it's size. V8 engine is powerful, transmission downshifts promptly. Quiet and comfortable ride. Gas mileage is reasonably poor, as anyone can expect. Very good interior quality and exterior styling. Recommended to any people who own an oil company.Jul 22, 2008

I love my car because it was a surprise gift from my husband. I have driven other car and trucks but nothing like driving my car. It has a luxuary drive and you just wanna break all speed limits whilst on the road. The pick up for this vehicle is amazing. The interior and exterior styling is great. It is fun to drive this car.Jul 14, 2008

I have a 2006 nissan Armada. The brake lights don't work. I have power going to the switch and coming back out. The turn signals work so I know it's not the bulbs. I tried another turn signal switch but no luck. The third brake light doesn't work either. I powered the light up with my power probe and it works. Is there a module that actually operates the lights?
I got a new starter installed and when I turn over the key the car makes a loud screeching noise. The car is running fine and the noise stops immediately. Can it be I need to replace the starter again?
Car will start right after being charged but after that if you try to start it nothing happens. When you turn the key there are no accessory lights. It is getting some power, if you open the door a clicking like sound comes from near the brake pedal. I believe this is a different problem, if you press on the brake pedal the noise goes away.
