Trac control, vsc, engine light comes on!
I had my timing belt, water pump, radiator hoses and plugs recently done on my 2005 highlander, it has 233,000miles. This was just preventive maintenance. On my trip, out of nowhere, the trac,vsc,engine lights all popped up. Took it to auto shop and also looked up your page here!! Your page was a godsend!! While waiting for the repair guys to do paperwork, I re tightened the gas cap and disconnected the battery neg side and the codes were gone! The kid at shop finally came out and put a obd tester on, as I wanted to be sure, and my car had NO codes pop up. I continued my trip, all running fine. Now I am in higher altitude climate, and as I reached my destination, the lights popped back on again. I am going to check all my fluids, and add if necessary. Do you have any other suggestions what to try, as I have no codes pop up and highlander seems to be fine??
