Hard To Beat Value For Mid-size Suv — I've owned this car for 8 years. It's been an outstanding vehicle. We will replace it in another 4-5 years with another Highlander. The engine gets an oil change every 5k miles and never makes dirty oil. It's great for all season traction too!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliability, comfort, resale value

Cons: Gas mileage

Reliable , A Car You Can Count On. — Lots of room , plenty of power , reliable and fun to drive. Also this suv is very simple to maintain. If your somewhat mechanically inclined like myself , servicing this vehicle is very simple. TOYOTA made things simple with maintenance . Again great suv.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Reliable ,  spacious , V6   power gets you to the front of the line. Great family   car for fun road trips or quick runs to just about  anywhere .

Cons: Really   there's  none.

Great — Nothing is wrong with this car, very reliable . Drove it to Arzonia last year with no problems and got 28 miles per gallon. Great car for a daughter or son who may be going to college. New tires last year.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: No mechanical issues

Cons: 4 cylinder, good for mileage

Great Little Suv. — Overall the Highlander preformed alot better than I expected. Good fuel mileage and plenty of power when you needed it. The only bad thing I could say, is that servicing the front brakes will be a major undertaking if you have never done them on this type of system before. Other than that, it really is a great little SUV.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Low maintenence and great fuel mileage in town or on the highway. Roomy interior in the front seat and very driver friendly.

Cons: Not alot of leg room in the back seat at all.

Little Train That Thinks It Can, But Will It? — Good vehicle if you alter a few items. Priced for the Toyota name. We will see if it holds up to that name....... The dogs enjoy the back. Pleaes note: a rating was required for back seats (I have never rode in the back) and for family car (don't have a family to ride in it)

Pros: Smooth ride, after I switched out the tires.  Nothing is made like it use to.....

Cons: Little extras, but not worth the additional money.  Tires replaced early......  4 Batteries within 1 1/2 yrs.  Wrote to home office, suppose to inspect.  Dealer never did.  Ended up adding a charger to the battery and plugged it in; if it was going to set for more than a couple of days.

Very Reliable. — If you need a car to get you where you are going every time, safely, without spending too much on gas, this is the one. You probably won't win the "Mom with the most impressive SUV" contest. But then think of all the money you will save on maintenance. And honestly I think that it looks better than the newer version.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This is a very reliable car. It is comfortable and handles quite well (especially compared to other SUV's we have driven). It also gets decent gas mileage.

Cons: Well... it isn't a sporty looking car. and gas.
