The Titan is large -- hence the name. It is Nissan's full-size pickup offering that competes admirably against the American pickups, and even rates higher for interior space and torque performance. Hauling capacity is top-notch, while the inside comes well equipped for both comfort and convenience.
The 2005 Titan comes in either King Cab or Crew Cab. Kings have a 6.5-foot bed, where the Crews have a 5.5 bed. The extra foot is used in the cabin for more legroom. Both are available in either rear-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive, in base XE, SE, or luxury LE trims. The engine is a 5.6-liter, DOHC, 32-valve V8 that hits 305-hp and can tow up to 9,500 pounds. ABS, tire monitor, and Brake Assist are standard, and there is an optional off-road package. Additions for 2005 include a dampened tailgate for smoother opening, and active head restraints in the front seats. The Crew Cab gets a power rear window with defrost.
XE is the base model and comes with 17-inch tires, while the SE and LE feature 18-inch tires. Luxury LE comes with power leather seats, memory settings, a backup sensor, and an optional DVD player. Both King and Crew cabs have two rows of seating, where the back row flips up for extra storage space and provides hooks for groceries. In the King Cab, the rear doors are reverse-hinged and open nearly flat against the truck for easier loading access. The cargo bed can be outfitted with rails, positionable cleats, cargo trays, and a sliding toolbox. A dealer installed spray-in bedliner prevents rust and keeps cargo from moving around.
The 2005 Titan displays great power and hauling capability, say owners. The 4WD adds some weight, but performs well on rough roads. Interior space is roomy and comfortable. Complaints mention early brake wear, though repairs were promptly addressed by Nissan. Gas mileage isn't great, seat comfort could be better, and drivers report rattling noises around the front end.

Love this truck! Great price when I bought it and have never had any issues with it. Fully loaded and can almost get 20 miles to the gallon. Not too bad for a V8 truck. Has lots of power for towing and passing people on the interstate.
May 27, 2011I have only owned this truck a short time but I have come to love it. It has the most comfortable ride of any vehicle that I have ever owned. After a number of small cars over the years this is the first truck that I have ever owned. My truck has options in it that I never even imagined even existed. On a recent trip to Edmonton in the midst of winter it performed very well and with all of the baggage that 4 adults and 1 child can take (We put the baggage in the box) we were very comfortable and safe. I have one of the only Titans in my small town and it always turns heads.

April 29, 2021This car is very stylish and has a tremendous amount of room. It is a great family vehicle for vacation and overnight trips. The sliding read glass is huge and the stock premium sound stereo is fantastic. This truck is extremely reliable
September 5, 2011It is a powerful pickup with a great tow capacity and an incredibly spacious interior. Considering it is quite a bit cheaper than its competitors (F150, 1500, tundra) and in my opinion that is only because Nissan hasn't made their name in full sized pickups, it is a great buy.
May 1, 2015This is my first crew cab pickup and I have really enjoyed it. If gas didn't cost so much the truck would be almost perfect.
March 14, 2008It is the best! All my friends are envious. Tows anything, goes anywhere. It is way more comfortable than my old F150, and than my 2003 Suburban. 15 around town if I drive like a geezer, 19 on the highway without even trying. Put a half ton of mulch in the back, and you can't tell from the driver's seat. I've towed at least three different trailers with it. I love it!
September 17, 2008biggest cab in the industry, rides smooth, lots of power under the hood, fun truck to put the pedle to the medle sounds nice! great sterio system in it to!box isnt the best tho, cant haul alot of stuff
October 17, 2009I love the look and the space of this truck . I have had no problems with this truck drives from Kansas to TEXAS twice a year never had any problems if your looking for a good truck you found it.
February 27, 2014Always had Nissan vehicles and have loved all of them and this truck seems like it will be just as good. It gets 15-17 MPG, so its not bad for a full size. I'd probably get better but its hard not to floor it sometimes. :)
