Good Little Car That Lasts A Long Time — starter car for a young family or person that commutes inner city. Rasy to handle with enough powthis a goood er to cruise at 140kph for an extended time. Can also be used for long trips ( 4or 5 hours) but gets very tiring and boring The one big problem with my car is that when the temp(outside) drops below 0 degrees cent. I lose rear lights, power windows, dash lights, rear defrost. After 10 to 15 minutes of driving the power comes back on. This only happens when it is cold

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: run great  burns very little gas

Cons: parts are hard to replace, everything takes a week to get into stock ( ie  inner door assembly or relays). tends to be very light in the front and tends to slide unless tires are in excellent shape

Very Clean And Dependable. — Great gas mileage. Rides smooth. This car is a great car for a student or a family because it is a medium size car. This is a fun car to drive because it has plenty of engine power if needed at a moments notice such as passing a slow moving dump truck.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Great gas mileage.

Cons: This year model did not come with keyless entry , I had to have it installed, but looks and works great .

This Car Is The Best Ever! — The car is overall the best car I ever owned, mileage is great, nothing went wrong with it. since I bought it. It has 135,000 miles on it now and I replaced the brake rotors on it. That was the only thing I had to fix so far, along with one wheel alignment., The hatchback is great. You can haul 8 foot 2x4's if you have to! Kids fit good in the back too. very roomy for a small car. Too bad they quit making them. I would definitely recommend it, but when I looked for one for sale, I couldn't find one within 600 miles!!!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: My car is wonderful.  I like how you can haul so much, the fuel mileage is great! and it handles really nice on the road.  I never had a car I liked this much!

Cons: The only thing I didn't like is the brakes wear out funny.  I had to replace the rotors twice and some of the other parts in the brakes.

Too Bad They Don't Make It Anymore. :( — A great little car that is fun to drive. Easy on gas and continues to be a fun ride. I enjoy the 5 speed transmission and it handles great on the many windy roads that meander here in Bucks county.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I'm unique, not many on the road.

    Cons: No bluetooth built in.

I Love It To Death —

The car's performance is not fantastic even with aftermarket intake and exhaust systems, but it does its job. It's a really solid car that has taken me all over the east coast of the US and has never complained. The main issue I've had as far as repairs is that the brakes burn up really quick and I've had the rotors go warped on me several times, but I think it's more my fault than it is the car's because I drive very aggressively. The styling of the interior and exterior are both my own, and I've come to love the way my car looks especially with the mods i've done to it. Its extremely good on gas and the parts and repairs for it have always been cheap - as long as you keep up on them (but that's with any car.) I am happy every time i have to drive somewhere and always offer to drive my friends around because the car is roomy enough and is reliable and my sound system (though thats all personal, has nothing to do with Kia) sounds great. Love the car. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a decent priced, reliable car that you can have fun with.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Awesome economy, solid car

    Cons: Brakes die really fast

Super — Car runs good, handles great in the snow and ice, it is very sluggish on get up and go, the cost is way to much, and to me it's a fun car to drive, if you like Kia's get one.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: It's Looks

    Cons: Drivetrain and overall performance

Decent Car — The Kia Spectra was a ruggedly built, reliable, low maintenance car with versatile cab and truck space, a fairly quite ride, and smooth feeling transmission. Its completely lacking in horsepower and handling, but it got people from point "A" to point "B" with safe, dry, and comfortable with little fuss one its own behalf. Also, its was fairly inexpensive.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Cheap, reliable, flexible

    Cons: NOT A FAST CAR

Alfalfa — Front wheel drive, which sucked. Braked very well. Very spacious, had a infant seat belt for car seats. It got up and went pretty good but nothing fancy. Build was ok. Cost was great for when we bought it. It was def a fun car to drive.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Everything was automatic but the transmision

    Cons: Front wheel drive
