Terrible Van, Stay Away! — This was the worst vehicle ownership experience of my life. Purchased the car with under 90k miles on it and sold it before it hit 100k when the engine was dying. This mini-van will drain your bank account fast! So much went wrong in just 11 months that I finally gave up on it and traded it in after being told the engine needed to be replaced.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: I got a dealership to take it on trade.  My kids liked the DVD player.

Cons: Terrible engine, poor reliability.  Everything continued to break from hoses, electronics, gauges, to finally the entire engine.

The Van Is Very Reliable And Comfortable. It's Not The Quality Of An Odessy But Worth The Discount. — I would highly recommend this van since it has served us well. We've put about 60,000 miles on it so far and have encountered minimal upkeep cost. The expected, especially in Florida is replacing the battery. Other than that no other major problems. The quality is good for the price of the vehicle. The one thing I wish it had was seats that fold into the floor.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Affordable Price Tag, Reliable, Seating for Multiple.

Cons: Seats do not fold into the floor, Does not ride as smooth as some higher end vans.

Still A Nice Car For Me! — I like this for its big and enough room. But it's noise annoys me a bit. and it consumes gas a lot.. but still, it's a good mini van for a homy driver :) well.. If u have a family of more than 5, consider having this one~

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Nice mini van for a big family

Cons: not so good gas mileage

Kia Sedona — it accelartes well but in my opinion you have to puch the brake pedal pretty far before it starts tyo slow the van and it dosent turn very sharp but for a mini-van its pretty good i wouldnt mind haveing one

Pros: theres lots of room

A Really Nice Van That Is Easy On The Wallet. — The Sedona is an affordable, well-built and reliable van. It handles very well and has a surprising amount of power. The 3.5L V6 can sound downright sporty under hard acceleration. The Sedona is very comfortable for long trips and quite versatile. The standard 6 speaker AM/FM/CD sounds really good, and most controls are logically placed and easy to use. The fit and finish is quite good, trailing Honda and Toyota by only a model year or two. Some plastics feel and look cheap, but all are durable. The cloth used on the seats and door panels is very nice quality, and the highly-adjustable driver's seat is appreciated. While the Sedona may not stop traffic, it is a nice looking van and, because it's not as big a seller as Caravans and Siennas, it has a little bit of a quirky side. Lastly, the Sedona gets top safety and reliability marks, so that's always comforting.

Pros: Affordable, handles well, comfortable, well-equipped, surprising power.

Cons: Rear seats are a pain to remove and replace, gas mileage is ok but nothing to write home about, wide turning circle.

Overall:

I've Seen Good And Bad --mostly Good — I like what I've read. Sometimes I've read negative reviews. It's mostly about the Sedona brakes. I gather that the weight of this vehicle is the cause of the brakes having a short life span.

Pros: size, looks and safety for the price

Cons: brakes wearing down sooner than expected, inconsistent engine life w/out problems, gas mileage
