Great car. The only problem Ive had was to get the ignition coils and head gasket replaced. If your going to get the 04 optima get the v6 version or the manual.

2005 Kia Optima Ex-v6 — We, especially my wife, loves the smaller size of the Optima as compared to her old 1999 Buick Century. Although the ride was a bit smoother in the Buick (a plus for most mid size Buick sedans due to more weight) the Kia still holds it's own and seems to be quicker in cornering, accelerating, and stopping. Both vehicles were pretty close in accessories and amenities. However, the smaller Kia has a big advantage in parking and fuel consumption, which is to be expected. It is a pleasant change of pace!

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The Kia Optima handles very well and responds quickly to the driver's actions. It has more amenities than you would think a small to medium sedan this size would have. The ride is very smooth and it accelerates with ease.

Cons: We have only owned the car for two months and haven't yet discovered anything we are unhappy with.

Good Car, Wish I Could Have Owned It New — I dislike the automatic transmission, it takes away from the power of the motor. The car gets around thirty miles to the gallon, and generally runs on any type of gas. I is a fun driver and I drive it everyday to and from work.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Gas mileage, ease of repairs, handling in many weather conditions.

Cons: Air bag light constantly on, nit the most comfortable seats, automatic transmission has no power.

Decent Car For The Money And Mileage — It is a small car, I have a family of 5 way to small with growing boys, great car if you like a small car. Nice gas mileage and price, not the deluxe package, but decent inside!!!! Cd player, power windows and locks.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: nice gas mileage

Cons: small car

Great 2005 Optmia — This is a very nice mid size care with many nice features only found on very high end cars. Long trips are very comfortable and highway gas milage is good. low maintenance cost with very little issues, the only issue we have had is the security module has gone out causing the remotes not to work.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very nice looking and easy to drive.

Cons: Part a little expensive.

Great Sedan. Great Value For The Price. — Found this car at a steal. Leather trim, sunroof, wind and water deflectors. Good gas mileage on the road. Great style. Handling is excellent. Have already put over 20K in just about 18 months. No problems.

Pros: Great handling, good gas mileage, and looks fabulous!

Cons: Not a Porsche 911 convertible.

Not The Best, But Certainly Not The Worst — Aside from the broken window the day we drove it off the lot and the 7 times to the shop for repairs, including a complete door replacement. Also the 6 trips to the store for repeated headlight replacements due to faulty wiring. The car has held up well.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: dependable to a point.

Cons: lacking some quality control at the factory
