My Experiment In Technology. — Likes: the comfort, set and forget HVAC, rear heat and A/C, rear DVD, XM radio, Bose speaker system, the cargo room, the size and feel of the rig, the accessories that are available for it. Dislikes: everything is computer controlled, some parts could be made better, dash and control lamps are hard to replace, information center should have instant fuel economy instead of engine hours or timer, gear selector could be brighter.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Plenty of room, comfortable seats, and yes they are leather and heated, selectable 4X4, not one of the AWD versions, good power and the fuel mileage beat the Acura I had. Lots of electronics, Rear DVD of the little one, XM radio, CD etc.

Cons: Computer controls everywhere, heat, air, TPMS, Air bags the list goes on.

Great Family Truckster — We like this Truck a lot with just a couple of issues. Now that my boys are getting bigger the 3rd row is getting very tight for them on longer trips (mostly a lack of leg & foot room). That being said the cargo space in back is great. The other issue is the 5.3 V8 really bogs down when accelerating with my boat hooked up. Once up to speed it's just fine.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Cargo Space, good ride.

Cons: 3rd row is very tight for my teenagers.  Transmission could use another gear or 2.  This issue is somewhat resolved in the 2007-2013 generation with the 6 speed transmission.  The tight back seat issue remains.

Clear — This has been a great family vehilce. Having a DVD entertainment system has been a plus for long trips. Has been a very dependable vehicle for my wife to drive over 230 miles one way to work. Very safe vehicle.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Longevity.  with over 190,000 still has no issues.  Runs smooth.  Great family vehilce

    Cons: none

Great All Around Family Car — We towed this behind our motor home, like it wasn't even there. This gave us extra carrying capacity for antiques hunting. Very comfortable ride and easy to get in and out. The heated seats are a real plus even here in Texas in the winter.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Will carry a big load, great vacation car with extra room on roof rack, kids loved the DVD., we loved the OnStar and XM, great ride and handling

Cons: 3rd seat is heavy to remove

Buy American You Cheap Bastards, I Can't Stand Hundai, Mercedes, Audi ... Rebuild America — Absolutely fantastic rig, only wish the steering wheel radio controls were compatible with newer aftermarket head units. ride comfort is fantastic, fit and finish is above other manufacturers. My rig is quick for as big as it is, put a flowmaster and a cold air intake and hang on.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: power, cargo, fuel economy and towing capacity

    Cons: The OEM tires suck

Overall This Is My Most Favorate Vehicle I Have Ever Owned. It Is Perfect. — I absolutely love my Yukon XL. Its beautiful. It looks like a million bucks. GMC went out of the way to make a great truck. I have a TV which is wonderful for my kids. I have leather seats that are heated. That is wonderful in the winter. I have alot of room for me and my passengers plus I have alot of room left for suitcases for travel. For a big truck my gas milage is reasonable. The same a a mini van and I have a much much better vehicle. Also i have alot of storage inside my truck. The stereo system is rockin and last but certainly not least I love my on star. Maintainence has been routine only. The cars acceleration is satisfactory along with the breaking and handling. I love my truck.

    Pros: Appearance, comfort, room, cost.

Cons: I would like for it to get 35 MPG.
