The Worse Ford I Ever Bought — I thought I was getting a vehicle that had very good MPG but not and to tune it up you have to tear the top half of the motor apart to do WHAT THE????, it suckswould never by another o e with out getting a weeek tondrive it to see how good mpg is

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It looks sporty has good heat for cold days and nice cold AC for the hot days.

Cons: High cost maint , the 4 wd is not very impressive when it kicks in it over power the the main drive wheels, and it is horrible on gas on the highway and in city its even worse when it get colder I am talking amost 9 miles to the gallonin b the colder wether

Fantastic Car For Adventures — This car has gotten me through many bad snow storms safely, it has brought me all over the eastern shores of the United States. I have felt safe in this car for as long as I've owned it and now I'm just looking for something new. It can be really fun to drive and handles really well unless you're going 90 MPH on a windy day-then you'll feel the wind a lot. You can definitely hear the horses when you step on the gas. Brakes have been replaced and tweaked over the years, stops well.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great in the snow- I've never been stuck, even in upstate NY
Great for moving, sports, anything involving lots of stuff to pack
Bumper is very difficult to scratch

Cons: I can't really think of any.

Great Family Car — Our Ford Escape has been a good family car. The six cyl. engine has plenty of power and gets pretty good gas mileage. Main complaint has been that when something does go wrong, it's very expensive to fix. Luckily that doesn't happen often.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Good power, comfy seats, room for a small family

Cons: Very expensive to repair! Check the price or YouTube replacing the alternator on a 2005 V6 Escape. Definitely not a shade tree mechanic job

Gas Sipper Family Mobile! — the 2005 escape is a great car. it goes a long way on a little bit of gas, has plenty of room for a family of 4 with luggage and the car handles great. if you are looking for a low cost alternative to a rav 4 or highlander, then look no further. the escape fills the bill and then some.

    Pros: roomy gas sipper

Cons: no cons - a great vehicle

Ford Escape Limited — This was the first year they made the Ford Escape. My only issue would be the air doesn't blow hard enough for 115 degrees in the desert heat. We bought it new in Washington State. It has been very reliable easy to keep clean nice looking..Very happy with it.Time for a newer automobile.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: No issues. Fell in love with it in 2005 first owner. Pretty, comfortable, roomy, and reliable I give it a 5 star for all the reasons I just said.

Cons: The air doesn't blow hard enough for 115 degree heat in the Arizona desert.

Amazing, Great Looking Car — This car served me for many years and continues to run great. It is reliable and always exceeded my expectations in the snow. I hate to part with the car but I need something smaller. The appearance is sleek and it really looks like a great car.

Pros: An amazing car that really served its purpose. It is excellent, reliable, and great in the snow.

Cons: A little high on the mpg but that is expected with a four wheel drive vehicle

Worst Vehicle Ever Purchased, Extreme Buyers Remorse — I honestly dislike everything about this car. my previous car was a Chrysler 300M 2001. It was an older car but it had features that newer vehicles don't even have. I miss the leather interior, moon/sun roof, bose stereo and speakers, automatic dimming rear view mirror, the wide wheel base. yes the car was a boat but it was good to me and the cost of maintenance was fair. I sold it because i was offered double what it was worth. I went to a big dealership in my area and they kind of pushed me into purchasing the Escape, I wasn't totally sold and after purchase I was informed that they needed to replace the rear differential and u-joint, both of which were replaced with used parts. I have had nothing but issues with the car ever since then. The dealership kept assuring me everything was "fine" and I had no need to worry, even after repeatedly expressing my concerns about the leaking diff. I may have just got really unlucky with my purchase but I would never recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Pros: I can haul a canoe, has a nice roof rack that extends

Cons: total lack of power. bad fuel economy, bad steering, terrible suspension, interior noise is real loud, the look of the vehicle is dated

2005 Escape 2.3l 5 Speed Manual Trans 2wd — I bought this escape for my wife to drive to work as she drives a bit for her job. Was looking for a 4cly 4x4 but all of the models made for sale in the US had auto engaging transfer cases that are weak and very costly to repair. The V6 engine models are hard on gas for not much more power over the 4cly. The auto transmissions in all models of the escape are weak and cost a bit to repair.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: very good on gas easy to drive and park

Cons: they don't offer a 4wd with manual controled transfer case in the USA

Great Family Car — Love that its a family car that doesn't look like a minivan. I can fit three car seats side by side in backseat. Acceptable cargo space. Really loud on inside the cab on the highway. Gas mileage not what I would have hoped for

    Pros: looks, ample back seat

    Cons: gas mileage

Good Family Car — My escape was a very reliable car I had it for around 6 years. It recently strted running poorly and I took it to the mechanic and he said it had a stuck hydraulic lifter and the front cat needed to be replaced. Should not be too much but I just do not want to deal with the mechanics so it is time to move on

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great family car ver comfortable for long trips for the kids

Cons: Front seats kind of cramped
