Great Car For The Money — One of the best vehicles we have ever owned. Low maintenance costs, sporty and comfortable, never had any major issues. We would definitely buy another Toyota in the future. This is a great vehicle for a young couple with children or a first vehicle for a teenager.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Fuel efficient, clean and sporty

    Cons: wheel coating deteriating

Not The Toyota Reliability I Expected — Overall I was very happy with the 4runner. We purchased it at 90K miles and had to put almost $6000 into it over the next 3 years! This was not the 200,000 mile toyota reliability I had come to expect. Other than that, the truck drove well, had plenty of room and was fun.

Pros: Very capable off-road, excellent handling for a body-on-frame SUV, wonderful in snow.

Cons: Brakes needed to be replaced every 2 years due to seized calipers.

Great Suv For Anyone. — I enjoyed the capabilities this 4runner has over some of the other comparable cars. The Sport edition is in my opinion the best option for the 4runner. It gives it a more sporty look, as well as a better suspension. It has a great audio system as well.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This vehicle has a very sporty, and stylish appearance. The Sport edition gives this 4runner an X-REAS suspension and unique 6-spoke 17" wheels. Very comfortable ride and low maintenance cost.

    Cons: Gets 17/21 MPG

Safe Safe Safe — This is the best truck I have ever owened! It does ride like a truck, so if you want a truck that rides like a car buy a Highlander, they are built to ride like a car a Toyota Camry in fact. My son was involved in a very bad accident in a 2005 version of my 4 runner. A loaded dump truck pulled out in front of my son only able to get up to 8 mph. My son was going 55 mph in the left lane of a major highway just slightly ahead of a fully loaded log truck in the right lane. My son locked the brakes swerved hit the lt rear end with his lt front end of the dump truck. My son was then horizontal in the middle of the highway & the log truck struck the 4 runner broadside on the driver side going 55 mph, fliped the 4 runner over 3 times & came to rest on top of my sons 4 runner. It took 3 tow trucks to remove the log truck off of the 4 runner. My son was trapped for 2 hours. Yes my son was hurt.., however he did not die,he is not paralyzed & his brain was never injured! I believe the many safety features & many air bags of this Toyota 4 runner helped to save his life.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I love everything about this truck.

    Cons: N/A

This Is The Perfect Sport Suv. It's Rugid Yet Stylish And Drives Like A Gem. — This is a smooth SUV. It handles incredibly well and is very safe and comfortable to drive. It is insanely reliable and has tons of cargo space. It's the perfect sports SUV in that it tows boats, bikes and skis.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great in snow, ice, off roads and driving on the freeway.

Cons: It doesn't have the best gas milage.

Great Suv — This 4runner is awesome, but we are looking to sell it since we really don't need all the space, like we used to. We would like to downsize to a car. I will definitely miss this Toyota 4runner when we sell it!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Very comfortable, looks very nice

Cons: Its an SUV so it takes more gas than a car, but it is still good- not bad on gas at all.

Wonderful — It looks great on the outside and runs great as well. Never had any issues beside the regular maintenance. what I really like about the car is how reliable it is and also how specious it is, though it has only two row sitting the back is huge.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: it is in a great condition

    Cons: cant think of anything

Toyota 4 Runner — A great all around vehicle. Mileage averages 18 to 19 miles a gallon in a combo of city and freeway driving. Great, reliable sport utility vehicle. Very few maintenance issues. It's been coast to coast, from Texas to Florida and back several times and to California and back.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: Reliability

    Cons: It's getting old

Far Cry From The All Wheel Drive Minivans That Dominate The Suv Class — An absolute tank in deep snow. With off road capabilities has a surprisingly smooth ride on the road. Could have more storage space, though I'd trade the space to get the advantages of the independent rear axle. Gets decent fuel efficiency, surprisingly good considering the power and torque it offers, especially as compared to the other 'conversion' SUVs that it out-performs in off-road situations.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Premier off road capability, quality, and reliability

    Cons: comparably low on storage
