It's A Great Family Car. — It's a great and safe car for my family. It's a good long distance car. The Third seat, the back row seat, was a real plus so we could give a ride to our kids friends. I recommend this car to any family.

Pros: The engine will run forever. The third row seat was a real help.

Cons: Since this was my first European car, finding a trusted mechanic shop to maintain the car was a challenge. Once I found the right shop, no pronblem

The Wagon — This car is awesome, the only issue I've is the cost of a replacement key. Performance is good from the 2.4 turbo. Downside of the car; a few of the plastic trim pieces are very fragile. Build quality is pretty good, but after 108k, the car feels it's age. Appearance is sharp; the volvo v70 is a great looking wagon.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: awesome acceleration and fuel economy

    Cons: the cost of maintenace

Drive It — Performance is like that of a sports coupe, 200 turbo horses helps out. Build is nice with little to no rattles, squeeks, or body roll. My wife don't like the shape of it, she wishes it looked more like a BMW 5-series. It drives real close to one though. It is good for the family hauls, trips, and whatever the little ones throw at you. VOLVO SAFETY!

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: room, smooth

    Cons: shape

A Good, Reliable Friend. — This car eats miles for breakfast. A great rig for long distance travel. Safe, powerful engine, great seats, quiet interior. Superior comfort! With its diesel engine, even the gas milage is great. Admittedly not a roadhugger on tight hairpin turns.

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Comfort

    Cons: Nothing

I Like It A Lot — The performance and handling are good considering the size of the car. The build quality are very good and the active safety one of the best in the class. The interior are at bit old fashion but not ugly. I really like exterior I think it’s timeless. The fuel consumption is around 10 km/l and the maintenance are average. The front tires don’t last long because of the early max torque 300 nm at 1850 rpm and probably a heavy right food ;-)

    Primary Use: Family transportation

    Pros: Safety and comfort

    Cons: fuel consumption

My Volvo — Can see why the police use these...pick up well for a big car. Feels solid - no squeak. Interior nice - leather smells good too. Exterior nice apart from accident damage (not me!) pulls about 27mpg on average. Handles well...loads of room for dogs and pram (at the same time!

    Pros: Good performance

    Cons: Long car to park!

The Ultimate Soccer Mom Work Horse And Charriot! — Great gas mileage and a solid car. Had the misfortune of hitting a boar head on and the car lived up to the Volvo safety standard. Wouldn't trade it for anything when it comes to hauling two kids and their stuff. A much better option to consider before strapping into a minivan or SUV.

    Pros: Cargo, quality, safety.

Cons: Service can get pricey ($500 every 7500).
