Good Car — We really liked our highlander. We would have kept it, but we were planning on having a third child and the back seat is not big enough for three child seats. According to the Toyota dealer mechanic, this year has some problems with burning oil and we found that to be the case.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Drives like a car

Cons: Not new enough

Gentle Suv — Great car for what it does....good gas mileage for a truck on its size...would have been nice to have a third row seat.....but i guess that was done for the 2004 onwards...good 220HP and it does pick up pretty well too...runs great even with a full load of passengers and cargo...nothing really fancy on the interior.....on the whole, it drive very well and very quiet ...a lexus in disguise...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Gentle entry level SUV with great value for your money

Cons: its still a 5 seater...if you need more space, decide to look else where!

02" Toyota Highlander — Great vehicle for places that actually have weather, very solid and reliable. Just not a true off road vehicle and certainly not the best looking truck on the market. Very reliablea great car for the family who are hauling kids and need sothing stble and solid.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable

Cons: How it drive and the look.

This Is The Perfect Cross Of Car And Suv — Its fully loaded with power and comfort and ability its said to have. I had the option of this or a used mercedes or lexus of the same kind of models...I.E. rx300. But fell in love with this vehicle. Its perfect for one-five full size adults or a load of kids. Tons of safety features to go with its sporty look complete this well made solid quiet Toyota. Its only draw back would be not having rear ac vents!

Owner for 5 years, 4 months

Miles Driven per Year:7,000

Pros: Space comfort ease of control on and off road quiet and well appointed

Cons: no rear ac vents no enough interior lights on all the buttons on the dash area

Smooth Luxury And Great View From Up High! — First of all, it's so nice to actually see out of an SUV. Love the power seats. Ultimate comfort, stylish interior. Easy to manuver and rides like a luxury car (Camry underneath). Have had this car for almost 3 years with no maintenance other than the oil changes.

Owner for 3 years, 0 months

Miles Driven per Year:7,000

Pros: Style, handles well.  Solid, no rattles.  Nice soft clunk when you close a door.  The way it should be!  Toyotas are top quality!

Cons: None, zero, zip !!

Wish It Was Still Mine — Good SUV to have for the winter. Never had any problems with snow last year and is actually quite fun in the snow. wasn't all that tough on power/acceleration but now that I have the solara with the same v6 it moves a lot quicker now. The only real bad part is if your like I am and need a cheap gas saver.... this is not the vehicle for you... gets around 15-20. Not bad if you don't drive 60 miles per day :- p

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Wish I had it again for the up coming winter time but overall I would recommend this for a family just starting off. Very reliable no worrys of it not starting.

Cons: Gas mileage

"Possibly better designed? Not sure but I get the feeling that Toyota continuously improves its cars with each succeeding generation so I essentially expect each generation to be better than the last."
