I have owned my 2002 Saturn LW300 for more than 16 years. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars, which I would have a few months ago, is that lately it has been giving me a lot of problems. I have had to put it in the shop 4 times lately, and it will be going back in for a 5th time next week. In recent weeks they have replaced the following parts: the 3 back plugs, both coil packs, mass air sensor, EGR valve, fuel filter, and a couple of other parts. Now it appears that the issue is related to wiring to the transmission. Hopefully, 5th time will be the charm. |

A Good Reliable Car For Those Who Love To Drive Just For The Fun Of It. — Performance- Pretty Good Built Quality- It sometimes squeaks, but nothing major Appearance- Looks good on the inside and out Cost of Ownership- The gas mileage is great, especially in the city Fun Factor- It's a lot of fun to drive around in Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: I love the comfort of this car. Cons: I don't like the plastic hub caps. It gives the car a somewhat cheesy look. |

I Would Not Recommend This Vehicle — performance - barely acceptable, but when the a/c is on forget it. build quality - where to start hmmm. leaking strut, tough on tires imop, catalytic converter, bcm, wheel bearing, fuel pump and level sensor, intermittent electrical problems all the time it seems. appearance - nothing special - but the chrome wheels really help Cost of ownership- without an extended warranty I would be broke, easy to due typical maintenance and gets 26-30 - mpg Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It's paid off and don't want another payment. Cons: expensive repair costs |

It's A Commuter Car, It Does What It Should...and Thats About It. — It's a daily beater, gets you from point a to b with out a problem. It's reliable and thats all you want from a car like this. Pretty boring to drive but that's to be expected. Gets fairly good mileage and doesn't need a lot of maintenance. It's going strong for a car with 212K of mileage on it. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It's a reliable 4 door, that gets from a to b reliably. Cons: It's boring. |
