2002 S430 with 90,000 miles the doors lock including the trunk doesn't work

Almost a barn find - in great shape and very low mileage for being 19 years old. The V-12 engines on the 2001-2002 S-600 models had some potential issues caused by a design flaw that was corrected in subsequent model years. If I had lived within 50 miles of the seller, it would have been easier for me to check out, but it was located about 5 or 6 hours away and impractical for me to thoroughly examine. I believe it was purchased by an MB aficionado who had the time and experience to thoroughly vet it. I regret not being able to own it.Oct 08, 2021

The car is overpriced as it has a main rear seal leak which is very expensive to repair. Once advised never heard back from Iconic. They never stated they would computer the repair our deduct the price based in this issue. Repair cost would be approximately $3,400 because the engine and transmission have to be removed fir the repair. Jul 17, 2021

The Mercedes Benz S500 is and has always been one of the greatest road cars engineered for the drivers of today. It has all the creature comforts imaginable for a car and one feature lost on many...interior room. The spacious interior makes long drives incredibly comfortable and short jaunts effortless.
The engine and drive-train are quiet and provide great performance around town and on the highway. All in all, this has been the best car we've owned to date!May 18, 2014

This is the finest handling car I have ever owned, the v8 is superb and the highway ride is smooth, quiet. Even gets very good mileage, I am not kidding, I get at least 25 on trips and have recorded 29 per the computer. Aug 03, 2013

one of the world's best engineered automobile. it's got everything you ever wanted. this car can pamper you with luxury and can drive like a sports car. except it's a bit bad on gas mileage and maintenance. but those problems will vanish once you sit behind the steering.Aug 25, 2009

The car was a very nice European model. Built like a fine piece of machinery, solid, nice powerful smooth acceleration and breaking. Short story, it was a wonderful car but very expensive to own and maintain. Depreation in 2 years was horrendus.Jul 01, 2009

If you want luxury at its finest look no further than this car.
I can honestly say that this is basically a mini-limousine with all of the luxuries it has. it has a 4.3 V8 engine. brakes are perfection. It is B E A Utiful inside and out. GPS was included and back seats have light-up vanity mirrors.Sep 03, 2008

Performance is good it accelerate and handle well. The brake are sometime noisy. Build quality is good, it does have lots of squeaks like it needs oiling at every joint. The appearance is awesome, black with beige interior. Bad for a carpet color, alway getting new mats. Cost of ownership is not bad with gas prices I don't full up that often. Maintenance is be costly. Fun factor is off the scale. The ride is so smooth.

The standard S430 is your average Big German Executive Saloon. But the S430V is a different story. The S430V's 4.3L V8 produces 4 more bhp than the standard 4.3L V8. Also "Smart cylinders" shut off half of the engine while cruising to save fuel. Inside, the S430V has hand stitched glove soft Nappa leather. The front seats are active and ventilated (heated and cooled). Audio system is upped from 10 speakers to 12. Cabin has both humidifier and dehumidifier to keep humidity at a comfortable level. Windows are double glazed and power IR layer blocks 98% UV rays. Instead of machine built, the S430V is hand built.
As a car, the S430V shines. the more powerful 4.3L V8 is whisper quiet, very smooth and cannot be heard idling, but when using the pedal on the right, it gives a very satisfactory V8 roar. 5 speed auto with shift gate transmission is very smooth. Air suspension is extremely responsive, dual mode AirMatic, 1 high for road conditions (i.e. snow, deep water) and extra comfort mode. Active front seats take a bit of time to adjust to, but keep driver and passenger from leaning at all. Air conditioning and heating is brilliant, the cabin never fogs up or becomes too dry thanks to the humidifier and dehumidifier.

I have a 2002 S430 Mercedes I can't remove the key out of the ignition I can start and turn the car off without any problems I just cant pull the key out when parked any suggestions
Key is stuck in the ignition. I am able to start and turn off the car so I can drive it I just can't remove the key. So I need to use the power lock system and then lock drivers side door with the valet key. any suggestions The key stuck in ignition is not a key like with teeth it's like a key that you can open and lock doors with has a button to open trunk and panic button, looks like the top of a key but is like a stick with a red end a think like a lazer or something like that
