Can I put tires size 215/70/16 on RX Lexus 300 AWD?
Tires on car are 225/70/16 but Town Fair Tire doesn't sell that size for my car any longer. The new tires would be all weather with 3pms rating.

The RX 300 featured minor improvements for 2002. The most notable was the faster and more efficient navigation system, which added multiple languages, and increased map database, and a route preview feature. The in-dash computer screen was also now able to display DVDs.
The RX 300 featured the same 3.0 Liter V-6, making 220 horsepower and providing 222 lb.-ft. of torque. The RX continued to surprise drivers who expected more SUV-like attributes. The gas mileage was quite high at 19/24 mpg, and the RX's unibody construction gave it a soft and cushioned ride.
Like all Lexus models the RX was marked by its reliability. Infrequent problems were reported in all areas except the engine. Many owners have noted the failure of two sensors (Mass Air Flow and Air Fuel Ratio). While drivers have generally found the RX 300's interior to be very comfortable and functional, many have commented on the odd hump in the center console, which is restrictive and easy to bump the knees into while driving.

I’m the lady that purchased the rx300 with over 216,000 miles, it wasn’t a car, it was the SUV, and I saw the body change didn’t change much from 2006 . My vehicle looked like new when I washed it myself with dawn dish liquid and water , soaped it down, hose rinse , then soft dry auto towel, it shined like new. Leather tan interior, beautiful sunroof, state of the system direction and 5 cd changer system. All operational. I don’t want anything but a Toyota, that vehicle proved a lot to me. We went all out of town twice a week in that vehicle and it never abandoned me, always worked.Sep 25, 2024

Middle of the road since Ive never owned a Lexus model of any type. My preference, ideally, are the is300 model between 1996-2005 in-line 6 either with the 1jz-get or 2jz-ge 5-spd manual.. A wagon version preferable. Hope that is brand make and model specific enough. Mar 07, 2022

comfortable leather front seats. rear seat room for 3 (slim) adults (or 2 adults and 1 child).
Plenty of cargo space. Great visibility from driver seat. Very Reliable car,..not much maintenance needed besides oil change. power windows, sunroof, moonroof.Aug 25, 2014

Loved everything about it except the engine failure as I drove cross country. If I had been warned that the coolant had leaked out I might have been able to avoid engine failure/seizure. Other than that, I thought it was a great car.Aug 06, 2014

In doing research into my next vehicle, I found almost unanimous praise for the RX series from Lexus. I know 3 people with these vehicles, and none would even consider selling their RX. And with their reliability, they probably won't have to.May 06, 2014

This is the car you would love to own. Maintenance is Very Low. Provides very high performance. Drive back and forth between Connecticut and NY,,never gave any issues. I will definitely buy another Lexus. 1000 times beter than BMW OR MERCEDES.Jan 13, 2013

Very nice vehicle, tho on the high end, especially being the Coach Edition. Comfortable on long drives, very smooth on the highway, and extremely quiet for an SUV. The sound system is incredible! Excellent acceleration, and braking is more than adequate.Oct 29, 2012

This car has excellent acceleration. It drives like a dream. It is wonderful on long trips, comfortable front seat and back seat as well. Great on gas in town and highway miles.

Great car. Kind of a chick car though. Performance is good all though the ride is not smooth. You feel all gear shifts and the brake is really touchy. This car is not the sporty car that's fun to drive. It simply gets the job done. It has tons of cargo room. Pretty much the perfect SUV. Sep 28, 2008

This is my Grandma's car, a 2002 Lexus RX300 Coach Edition, and yes I have driven it a couple times. She bought it brand new at JM Lexus in South Florida, and everyone in the family loves it. The handling isn't anything to get excited about, but on the highway, this SUV can really stretch its legs. My uncle had it at 100 miles per hour on the freeway once. It has all the luxury features you would expect in a Lexus, and being a Coach Edition, it came with a free suitcase. This vehicle only has like 50,000 miles on it as of July 2008 and has many more left in it. These Lexus RXs are always expensive new, but a used one can be obtained cheap, and these make the best family vehicles or even starter cars for teens or college students. Jul 08, 2008

This suv is a great car. If you want a nice looking, good performing, car for work or for yourself, and you don't want to spend over 30K on a new car, then this car for you. I have one in black which I got for 14K. It has 6 cylinder 3.0L, the engine and has been used overseas in industrial and commercial applications. I have made a few modifications to increase overall hp, I changed tail lights and I bought the new tires. The ride on this car is excellent for suv. This car is a beauty! The Lexus suv quality is still in play with this car. The interior looks awesome, and well built...unlike Nissan Murano or Ford Escape. I get 25-27 city mpg's, and 28-32 highway mpgs on this suv. In conclusion, if you want a beautiful looking car inside and out, of good quality, with a comfortable ride, a workhorse of an engine then go for this LEXUS RX 300.Jun 30, 2008

A beautiful Lexus RX300 Coach Edition of which my Grandmother is the original owner. It was purchased new at a dealer in South Florida, so it did not come with heated seats, and we do not believe it has all-wheel drive, though we are not entirely sure. It did not come with these options because it was delivered to a dealer in Florida, but it now resides in PA. Those two options are necessities in PA and that is only flaw with this vehicle. Reduced gas mileage after transmission replacement
2002 Lexus Rx300 AWD, 80,000 miles. Purchased with 37,000. Now has 80,000. Transmission failed. Had it replaced. Gas mileage reduced from 22 plus mpg to 15 plus mpg. Had it tuned up. No change. Mechanics say transmission has nothing to do with gas mileage. They, don't know what to tell me, check engine light is not on, blah, blah blah. My understanding is that the AWD system is FWD all the time and sends power to whatever wheel is experiencing slippage. If the AWD system has not been put back properly and it's running on AWD all the time, it WOULD effect the gas mileage. I'm I thinking about this correctly?

i have a lexus rx 300 2002 , i just bought 22in rims, and 265/40/22 tires, the front clears perfectly, but the rear strut is in the way, i used bottle jack to pushup but sti;ll too tight, i also used washers on the studs to space out a bit, what are my options now? i really dont want to buy new small tires PLEASE HELP ME
