If You Need Room And Hate Sliding Door Minivans I Would Recommend A Suburban. — I would like it to have better gas mileage, but whatever its a big vehicle and I need the room. If your like me and demand something with room and isn't a minivan this is a good compromise. I never thought I would like such a big vehicle but this one handles well and gets the job done.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The 3 rows of seats have plenty of room for our family of 6.

Cons: I don't have mud tires for it.

2002 Suburban 5.3l Is 18-19 Mpg Hwy So Far. — Reliable American Power and Durability that lasts forever. Room for 8, Power to spare. Tried the smaller SUVs and returned to the Cowboy Cadillac. My wife and 6 kids love it. LOVE. I have 3 friends who drove their Suburbans forever and the two who got rid of theirs now wished they hadn't.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Reliable American Power and Durability. Room for 8, Power to spare.

Cons: Nothin.

The Ultimate, Reliable, Family Suv — This generation Suburban has so much more interior style than the 2007 and newer. The latest gen interior seats are flat and look modern but after 500 miles on the highway, your back and rear end will tell you that the previous generation is the cats meow. Power and economy is good for a large SUV and is better than Toyota and Ford in this class vehicle. These trucks stay reliable for 200-300K miles and more if maintained well. The Chevy 5.3L V8 has proven to be the leader in reliability of the V8 truck engines.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This generation Suburban has the most comfortable interior package of any Suburban/Tahoe made.

Cons: Brakes are great for vehicle and passengers but when towing they could be a little stronger.

Best In Class — Love the space, huge cargo, captains chairs are heated and very comfy. DVD keeps everyone entertained on long trips, kids can sleep in the back at the lake. Accelerates nicely even when towing, a real workhorse. Very reliable and has held up like a champ.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Best vehicle for hauling kids & stuff, towing a boat, pulling a horse trailer, great on long trips

Cons: Just the mpg, but it IS a 4WD V8

Shamoo — Overall a great family oriented vehicle, that has taken quite the beating. Has kept my family alive and warm overnight in a blizzard along I-40 not once but twice, and has been the most reliable automobile we have ever owned.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great Family SUV, Extremely Reliable, low fuel cost when idle-ing, and cargo capacity

Cons: In city Fuel economy, common wear and tear, And short lived rear door shocks

Like Driving From Your Recliner In Your Living Room. — The car has a computer, but it can't diagnose a lot of the engine issues. ie- fuel pump slowly going, mass air flow sensor, idle control sensor, and fuel pressure regulator going around the same time. Besides for these issues the car drives smooth and comfortably.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Car is great for long trips with the family.

Cons: Uses a lot of gas and just hit 100,000miles and is staring to have some mechanical and electrical issues

Big Car Lots Of Fun — For long car rides it is fun and so far it has towed everything i throw at it. it huals ass and even though the mileage and gas prices are horrible, it still has a spot in my driveway for it.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: comfy ride
power for towing
good for long rides

Superb — Best family car ever !! 24" wheels, 17" screen inside, What could be better ? Custom made by my ideas over the last few years. Adding the lights, removing chrome, and changing the front bumber was the most dramatic changes. I love it.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The cool look, i like every day.

Cons: Fuel spender...
