How to change a 2002 Chevy Prizm windshield motor
- I understand the Toyota Corolla is a like the exact same car, but are the windshield motors swap outs the same is my question really.

Despite being an unimaginative re-badging of a Toyota
Corolla, the Prizm is a reliable little car with tight steering
and an apparent dislike for frequent stops at the pump.
The rear seats are tiny, almost unusable, but they are
there for those that may need to transport two more
people comfortably. The vehicle, being a economy car,
puts out around 120 hp, probably 90 of which makes it to
the wheels. This is more than most cars in it's class, and it's
tuned intake helps with acceleration, though the A/C sucks
a more than noticeable amount of power from the pedal.
Overall, a good affordable car with great gas mileage, but
not enough room for more than 3 people to use

Bought new in '02, now have almost 70,000 miles on it. So far no repairs, just needed tires. I get the oil changed every 3-4 k miles.
The acceleration and braking are above average for a 4-cyl.
The looks are ok, paint is holding up well. It has a squeak in the dashboard area when the weather is cold, but it goes away after the interior of the car warms up. That is the worst thing about this car. My husband has a '00 same model also no problems so far.
UPDATE: The car is about to turn over 100,000 miles after 12 years and has had one unscheduled repair the entire 12 years. The Serpentine Belt Tensioner replacement was done a few months ago. I decided to keep the car for another 100 K and put in an upgraded stereo system on the 12th anniversary of purchasing the vehicle to celebrate having such a trouble-free car.Jan 14, 2009

My 2002 Prizm and I have been through a lot. For the first two-years of its life it traveled 500+ miles a week up and down the worst freeway in Southern California -- the 605. It survived any manner of rubbish flying around the freeway and was able to safely avoid many accidents. This car takes a licking and keeps on ticking. And although it may not be the most beautiful car in the lot, it probably gets better gas mileage than anything else out there (save the Prius).May 21, 2008

Great mileage and reliability. Couldn't beat the price with $3000 rebate, $3500 GMCard, and negotiating to invoice. Got the thing darn near 1/2 off MSRP!!
Very soft in the turns and poor handling balance toward understeer. Fixed it with some aftermarket stabilizer bars. Now it is quite neutral and very stiff making it fun to drive.May 25, 2007

A/C in 2002 Chevy Prism not getting cold
I have replace every part of the A/C system including compressor, tube ( what ever it is called) the dryer, the evaporator and the part that goes behind the radiator but I still can not get cold air. Was cold today for about 10 minutes and now running hot again. Clutch is running and so are the fans. What would you suggestion I try next other then put the car over a cliff. ( Replaced the compressor 5 times now along with that stupid tube until I got one that ran all new compressor. Dryer had holes in it - the new one had to replace twice. )
