It is a stick and that makes all the difference. Very spirited any not at all sluggish like the automatics. Gas mileage is spectacular. I have never gotten less than 33 mpg on a tank and regularly get 36 or 37 and once in a while 39. This on mixed driving. The car has 190,000 miles on the original clutch and shows no sign of getting tired. I will get 300k from this engineering marvel. All features continue to function perfectly.Oct 20, 2013

The car was in immaculate condition, never had an accident, received all recommended maintainance. I've had three Toyotas in the past and I loved them all. Two greatest selling points was a Corolla enginge and the asking price of $500! How can you go wrong?Jan 22, 2013

Its not that great but it is cheap and gets me from point a to point b and thats all i
need really. but the best part is the fact that it is cheap. well and i made a bond

I loved the car when i got it. it gets good gas millage. the things i dont like about it is burns oil and the tranny is slowly starting to slip. It isnt the cutest car there is out there but it gets you to point a to b.Nov 11, 2009

Very Reliable. Made at NUMMI plant in California with joint venture from General Motors and Toyota. Last year this was made was 2002. I wish I could buy another one. Now the NUMMI plant only makes the Pontiac Vibe. Ok.Jun 19, 2009

It was my very first car that i loved very much. Alot of memories were made in this car, and it
got amazing gas mileage. This car was little but it had alot of room inside, it got us to many
places and back with no problems.. until the day it died cause it ran out of oil. =( Apr 16, 2008

This was my girl-friends car. It was in excellent condition, was well maintained and had a great design. It got great gas mileage, and we did alot of comfortable travel in it. It was a relatively compact car, but there was enough room to not be able to say I was riding in a lunch box.Apr 15, 2008

Got it used in 2003. It's had a replaced engine, whole front alignment redone, new tires, etc. My own fault for not keeping up with maintance. It's going bye bye fall of 09. Getting a Honda.Jan 24, 2008
