2002 Acura RSX Review
Thomas says:
vs2007 Scion tC Base Auto
2002 Acura RSX winning categories:
Handling
Ranked 2007 Scion tC Base Auto worse.
"The RSX is extremely tight in corners and always feels planted while the tC inspires no confidence at all going into turns."
Value
Ranked 2007 Scion tC Base Auto worse.
"The RSX is a better value only because of the money that would be saved buying a used 2002 RSX versus a 2007 tC." |
2002 Acura RSX FWD with Leather Review

vs2003 INFINITI G35 Sedan RWD with Leather
2002 Acura RSX FWD with Leather winning categories:
Power
Ranked 2003 INFINITI G35 Sedan RWD with Leather better.
"The V6 in the G35 is no comparison for the I4 in the RSX."
Looks/Style
Ranked 2003 INFINITI G35 Sedan RWD with Leather worse.
"From the front angle both are definitely lookers but once you look at the rear ends the Acura is better by a mile. Ill credit the G35 for being different but to me it just looks like an angry chipmunk. The RSX is relatively unique but a solid and sharp-looking car at every angle." |

A Fun Little Car. — I have enjoyed owning my RSX for the past 2 years, it still looks good and I hate it was a limited model. Acura needs another sporty car. Anyways, the rsx type s comes with a great engine (k20a2), and what could be a great transmission, if they had put an lsd in it. Under hard acceleration you will notice the lack if a lsd, especially coming out of corners. Other than that it has been a great car, reliable, good gas mileage. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Fun to drive, good transmission, reliable, great gas mileage, looks good. Cons: They stopped making it. |

Fun And Practical. — I've had my eye on an RSX-S for quite some time now. When I finally purchased this one (to replace my departed Volvo), I had narrowed it down to this and a 2003 Acura CL type S 6 speed. Truthfully, I would have preferred the CL, but the RSX was much closer and would not have required shipping. So far, after two months, this has been worth it. The RSX reminds me of my old Preludes. It's quick for a 4 cylinder, the shifter is sublime, the handling is smooth, the interior is beautifully appointed and ergonomically perfect. The seats are supportive (though the leather has torn pretty badly on the driver's seat), the cargo room is shocking - thanks to the wonders of hatchbacks. My first weekend with the car, I ended up moving a 9 foot couch across town, with a couple feet sticking out the back, admittedly. The sound system isn't particularly powerful - I have to crank it to hear anything on the highway. The radiator fans aren't working, though the car is 12 years and 180,000 miles old, so I'm not shocked by a few issues. It's not practical for families, but just for me, as a car to buzz around town in - it's perfect. It can haul my stuff, it can move with alacrity, and it's reasonably thrifty at the pump. I'm hoping to keep this one for awhile.... though maybe that CL might be purchased for longer trips at some point in the future. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Quick, nimble, lightweight, superb shifter, decent gas mileage. Cons: Average brakes, noisy interior, weak sound system. |

Neck Turner — I definitely like the fact that it is a Honda or acura I like the fact that is a popular car overall and it defenitely looks really nice when driving it wherever you go. Absoultely one of a kind thanks Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: very reliable car economically, and it is capable of delivering what it brings. It never lets you down no matter what the situation is. Great gas mileage and overall performance. Cons: Not enough horsepower |

Fun Track Car — great car to go drive fast in. the 6 speed manual transmission is great and the 200 horsepower engine puts so mush power out of the front tires. the handling on the corners is great and the power out is quick. i would definitely recommend to anyone Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: fast Cons: turn radius |
