Flash “d” indicator light
I have 2001 Toyota Highlander the “d” indicator light is flashing sometimes and if cruise is on then it will shut the cruise off. Any ideas?

This is a good reliable car. I would buy another in a heart beat.
One issue is I lived in a small town without a Toyota dealer, had the breaks done by a small shop, due to them not being Toyota parts, additional work on rotors and breaks needed to be done.May 14, 2015

Great first car, will get you from 'A to B' easily and comfortably, great car for a high schooler, with good handling and easy to manage. Although when parked outside it traps the air and amplifies the temperature (ex: 85 out side the car = 115 inside the car). Brakes are a little worn, but that's only because it being an old car. Loved taking this car out for a little while. It may not accelerate as fast as you may want, but the safety and reliability on the 2001 Highlander are both GREAT! The Highlander is a wonderful car for a small commute to the store or maybe to a friends house. The seats are great and the visibility is great also. Love the 2001 Highlander.May 25, 2013

fast with the v6, sounds good with subs, all jbl stock speakers, leather interior, heated seats, 6 disc cd changer, looks good, moon roof/ sun roof, the car is fun to drive and has 4x4 so its definitly worth itDec 15, 2010

Good performance and appearance and low cost of ownership. The build quality is also good, but with just 200HP there is not a whole lot of hump. Toyota quality shows after you have owned a card for over 7 yrs as compared to other manufacturers...they give you value for your moneyAug 08, 2009

There are little quirks with this model that are slightly annoying, but I'm sure that they fixed them on subsequent models. The only thing I wish I had is the 3rd row seating.Dec 05, 2007

Where are the O2 sensors located on a 2001 toyota haighlander V6?
I can visually see one of the O2 sensors on the front of the motor (Exhaust manifold) when I open the hood, but where is the othe O2 sensor located on this vehicle? A picture would be nice. thanks

Power window problem
We recently discussed trading off our 2001 Toyota Highlander while sitting in the car. Evidently, the car did not like that because since that day, the driver's side window will power down when you are not in the car. It doesn't matter if the doors are locked or unlocked, and it doesn't do it when you are driving it, only when you are not in it, and only a couple of times a week. I have seen it go down, but when I hit the power lock button on my remote, the window stopped going down. Any suggestions? Do I need a priest or a mechanic?

Toyota highlander needs $2500 of work.
My 2001 toyota highlander has about 226,000 miles on it and I just took it in and I need $2500 of work on it. I'm a college student so that is awful in it's own sense. I dont know if I should keep the car and figure out a way to pay the 2500 or should I just give up and have payments on a $10,000 2014 jeep patriot with 60,000 miles.
