2001 brought about a redesign of Dodge's midsized sedan, the Stratus. First and foremost, the 2001 Dodge Stratus is no longer just a Sedan; a Coupe trim has been added to the lineup. The engines have all been upgraded as well, with more, bigger engine options available, all with more horsepower: a 3.0-liter V6, a 2.7-liter V6, and a 2.4-liter I4. Depending on the engine of course, the 2001 Dodge Stratus gets between 20 and 30 miles per gallon. And with engine choices producing a range of horsepower from 158 to 202, that's not bad gas mileage.
Options are aplenty on the 2001 Dodge Stratus, both comfort and safety-wise. Air conditioning, a CD player, Cruise Control, Dual Airbags, and ABS are all available in the 2001 Dodge Stratus. Plenty of room in the backseats of the Dodge Stratus for a couple of kids, and the trunk can fit most groceries or sports equipment or whatever it is that you need to carry. August 12, 2010I love the look and feel of this car. It handles very well , has plenty of power to get you moving in a hurry and gets pretty good gas mileage to boot. This is overall my favorite car I've ever owned. Its just one of those cars that a blast to drive and keeps me smiling and looking back, every time I get out of it. It's a keeper!
April 14, 2009The 3.0 liter V6 Stratus coupe has a Mistubishi engine and shares a platform with the Eclipse. It has a decent acceleration but I would recommend a manual transmission if possible. The Stratus has a unique interior and exterior styling which makes it stand out against similar competing models but also make sit difficult to find many aftermarket or replacement parts. The two-door has a large trunk space and a comfortable amount of rear-passenger leg room. Bucket seats make the Stratus feel lower than other two-door cars and the fabric is easy to clean and very durable.

March 15, 2008This car took me by surprise the first day I test drove it. Compared to my old charger, it was PEPPY! This car has above and beyond my expectation for a Stratus R/T and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
November 5, 2009I loved the wood on the interior. Also, the power lock, power windows were a nice feature as well. It was a four door with a massive trunk and a fold down seat in the back for easier trunk access. My car was really fun to drive anywhere, even to the store. I would highly recommend this car.
August 31, 2008Loved this car, it was Great on gas and it was bright red! Moon roof, leather seats and a nice sound system. I got it up to about 125mph but I'm sure it could go faster. I've never gone that fast before, nor do I really want to again.
September 24, 2009Its cheap, but has enough power to drive normally. Parts are inexpensive and gas mileage is decent with 28 or so. Its fairly reliable for a dodge and isnt too bad to drive. the suspension is too loose and steering is just OK.
June 9, 2009Performance - 2.7L V6 MAGNUM engine, 0-60 6.5secs, adequate handling, nice deep exhaust note (w/aftermarket setup) Build Quality - Ok, suspension needs work after 150,000 miles Appearance - styling is good inside and out (one of the best interiors in a Dodge) Cost of Ownership - 20 mpg, about $500 yr for maintenance (after 150,000 miles) Fun factor - very fun!!! Autostick adds even more to the experience
May 12, 2010the car as far as space is great, lots of leg room, handles great, its a good solid feel. the only downfall is that its a little slugish.All of the four cylinders need to have a 3.0 v6 put in then you would have an all around great car.
September 6, 2007I am not a fan of this car, in fact I wouldn't wish this car on anybody. For a six cylinder it was very quick. It had the fake-o-manual, which killed the fun. And it was problematic, with faulty fuel pumps and the like.
