I got the one I did because it was in good shape and the one I was driving was starting to fall apart. I bought mine cheaper than it would have cost me to make mine even comparable. ( you cant expect a 20 year old vehicle to be brand new)

The Beast — We call it the "Beast." 2 wheel drive so it gets 20 mpg on the highway - we drive it in the summer. No salt, no rust... It is our camp vehicle. A/C works. Floats on down the boulevard. Great vehicle if you are moving kids out of your house and into their own apartments...

Pros: This is a great utility vehicle.

Cons: Big. Gas tank takes 44 gal. That'll get your attention; but then you don't have to think about filling up for another 700 miles or so.

Tough But Comfortable — cons: average 16-17 MPG, 18 on a really good day. Hard to see blind spots to the rear which makes multi-lane, high speed, and tight traffic driving difficult. pros: over 200,000 miles on it, a few replaced parts and a new head gasket later, still kick'in. Tows like a beast. After towing scrap for one full summer we replaced the brake booster, but no prob since.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Practicality Over Everything Else — Overall this suburban is a very practical car with plenty of seats and lots of cargo room as well as toeing capabilities, but style and efficiency aren not its strong points by any means. New generations of the suburban are much more refined.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Plenty of space and very practical.

Cons: Large vehicle, not very fuel efficient, the ride isn't that great.

Love It — Love My truck has space and drives well. Just hate that as like all cars sometimes you have to fix and cant always do yourself. But the vortek motor is a dream beyond belief it gets up and goes. YES

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: spacious

Cons: like any vehicle needs repair

A Michigan Beast — One of the best vehicles ive owned, except the gas mileage. For it being as big as it is it sure will get up and go when needed, best thing to have in the winter other than a AWD vehicle.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Parts are easy for find.

Cons: GAS PRICE

Great Family Vehicle! — I love the spaciousness of this car. It is suprisingly easy to handle. For being such a big vehicle it is fun to drive. There is not a lot of noise while driving it on the highway which is a plus.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: This car has a lot of space!

Cons: It takes a lot to fill it up but the gas lasts.

Prim Time Runner — Fun truck to go any where with. I can go to work, go up north with ALL the buds, hook an ice shack or trailer on or anything basically. Fully loaded with power everything, love the space hate the mileage. I can't wait to straight axle convert this hog! The vortec 350 is also a huge plus compared to the tbi or carb...

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 350 (5.7L) reliability

Cons: Fuel economy
