What owners say
"Overall, drivers appreciate the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban for its spaciousness, towing capabilities, and performance. Many love how it handles family trips and off-roading. However, the gas mileage is a common point of frustration, with many noting it's not very economical and can be expensive to fuel up. Despite this, owners often feel that the vehicle is reliable and has great power, making it a favorite for many."
Well over 200K and still runs like new. All the room for family to pile in and head out for whatever you want. Never been in shop for repairs other than routine maintenance. Gas mileage is OK for the size and weight of the vehicle. Brakes could be better but they will stop with adequate distance you don't tailgate in this baby
August 4, 2011I have 170K miles on it and have been blessed with a great vehicle. Taking care of it with 3,000 mile oil changes, tire rotations and scheduled maitenance has made this a real winner.
May 12, 2007Great all around truck, well built, easy to maintain, easy to repair, holds 8 passengers or seats fold down and remove for a full 8 ft enclosed bed, 5.7L LS1 has great hp and torque, passes on highway with ease even with many passengers or towing a trailer, shift on the fly tranfer case works great for the most part, rarely it will jam in 4-low....

September 21, 2009One of the best vehicles ive owned, except the gas mileage. For it being as big as it is it sure will get up and go when needed, best thing to have in the winter other than a AWD vehicle.
October 21, 2013This Suburban has been a true workhorse. It's moved 3 households, pulled horse trailers, hauled product to Dallas and Houston with a trailer, made it from Houston to Atlanta in 12 hours flat, and has held up well given the 187,000 miles on it. It just recently had to have a rebuilt transmission.
November 21, 2008I love the spaciousness of this car. It is suprisingly easy to handle. For being such a big vehicle it is fun to drive. There is not a lot of noise while driving it on the highway which is a plus.
September 17, 2013My husband and I have a 99 Chevy suburban, replaced motor, tranny, rear end, everything under the hood. I love my bernadette. (Her name) she hasnt failed a smog test yet . Will always own a Chevy.
September 23, 2021Love My truck has space and drives well. Just hate that as like all cars sometimes you have to fix and cant always do yourself. But the vortek motor is a dream beyond belief it gets up and goes. YES
May 4, 2014Fun truck to go any where with. I can go to work, go up north with ALL the buds, hook an ice shack or trailer on or anything basically. Fully loaded with power everything, love the space hate the mileage. I can't wait to straight axle convert this hog! The vortec 350 is also a huge plus compared to the tbi or carb...
