The base 1998 Nissan 200SX is not well-equipped, but it was quite affordable. The engine was a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter with 115 horsepower. Fuel economy is about 28/37.
Drivers are, for the most part, pleased with the 1998 200SX standard model. They say they like it for its sporty looks, driving enjoyment, and excellent value and reliability. However, many wish for more power.

Drivers like the 1998 200SX SE because its sporty looking, fun to drive, and gets good gas mileage. Some drivers do wish it had more power.

It is distinguished in appearance by a small spoiler. Inside, it is well-equipped, with power windows and doors and an optional sunroof and ABS brakes. Fuel economy is about 24/31.
Drivers like the 1998 200SX SE-R for its peppy, engine, driving enjoyment, and good value. Some find the so-called premium sound system to be of poor quality.
