I Would Like To Keep It Until I Die. It Is A Joy. — When I bought this Mark VIII it was a one owner car with only 50,000 miles. I love it. It has the 280 HP DOHC engine. It's the fastest car I've ever owned, with cornering like a true sports car. It has the original air suspension, in very good condition. No air leaks. The paint, wheels and leather interior are all original. It is gold in color. The car now has 66,000 miles on it. I'd like to increase the horsepower. Maybe with a cold intake air filter system, and true dual exhaust. I might be able to get it up to 300 HP. Should I try, with the car having 66,000 miles on it? Any other inexpensive ways to increase horsepower? I'd like to have somewhat louder exhaust without the drone inside the car. This car is a ball to drive, and gets 16.5 MPG. It looks great, and does not ever need repairs. When I need to pass another car, I just step on it, and it sounds like a jet engine. People in the other car can't believe I went past so fast. If you can find one, buy it. They go for about $6,000 in good condition. Mine cost about $44,000 when new.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Performance and looks. Excellent aerodynamics.

Cons: None

Probably The Best Kept Secret Ever — This car may be the best car in its class and the class no longer exists. Great looks, classy comfortable and the styling will last for the ages,POWER,FAST,and refined always in control and feel safe.Gas milage is surprisingly good and maintenance is not a problem.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This is a car that is not only has classic good looks, but is fast, powerful and comfortable

Cons: Back seat sucks, but as long as you don't sit in it who cares.

Hot Rod Lincoln! — Very comfortable seats, reminds you of your favorite couch. The gleaming red is awesome to stare at up close, very deep. Gas mileage is way better than expected from this powerful V8, but efficient motor that Ford put in this car.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: The power and look!

Cons: The rarity!

If You Find A Really Nice And Take Good Care Of It, It Can Be A Great Car — fun car to drive, luxury with some speed, loved it. fantastic engine weak transmission (or maybe I drove it too hard). One of the best engine notes I have ever heard. interior was a little lackluster, but had a good layout, and some neat electronic gadgets like memory power seats and puddle lamps and the first car with HID Xenon lights.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: luxory and speed and not too common

Cons: a little older and hard to find one with low enough miles because they do not run forever like a toyota or honda

Worth A Shot, But Drive It For Fun, Then Get Rid Of It. — What my friends think of it? I think it's more important what I think of it. Great luxury performance out of a car for very little money. Build quality sucks, so I'm going to let it go before it costs me an arm and a leg.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Nice perfomance in a comfortable car.

Cons: Common problems with some features (auto adjusting suspension, heater control).

Hot Rod Lincoln — It's becoming a classic - you just don't see many on the road. It's a large sporty car with lots of power - only one recall yet - small Lincoln with over 20 mpg. Drawback is that it's a 2-door. This one is Silver with Teal and Lavender pin-striping. I've had it since it was turned in as a lease return with 17,000 miles - Performed beautifully on recent cross country trip of 3,500 miles.

Pros: Dependability

Cons: Age

Great Luxury Car. I Loved It! — Awesome ride. Great power. Fantastic handling for an american luxo-barge. Stunning gas mileage for a big heavy american car.

Pros: Comfort, handling, power.

Cons: Some parts are expensive.

Dependable — sporty but a personal luxury car. Suspension is lacking in my opinion but the roar of the engine makes up for that. I've had the car for many years and this is my second. I upgraded to the LSC since my first was a standard model with no sunroof. Styling is beautiful to me and it's very smooth and not so bad economically on the highway. Around town driving isn't the best in relation to gas expense.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Power & Styling

Cons: Headroom, air ride system

I Really Wish I Could Have Brought This Car New In 97 !!! — I can drive all day and not be exhausted from the road! It handles so good that your not aware of you speed and she will get up and go!! 140 on the speedometer and then some! Only thing is the high octane gas she needs but on the highway I can get 25mpgs so not bad but not a HYBRID!!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: She is a great car, very beautiful body design and areo dynamic 4 wheel independent suspension makes corners fun to speed through!!!

Cons: air ride sucks, I removed it and put a Eddie Sphinx shock and strut package and it was well worth it!   AMERICAN AIR SUSPENSION.COM
