The 1995 Pontiac Bonneville came in a base SE trim and the more sports-oriented SSE. This four-door sedan has a long history as a roomy and comfortable family car, great for long trips. But it also had a nice energetic engine, and this year it gets a new one. For 1995, most of the changes focused on the SE trim. A new standard engine in the SE and SSE was available -- a Series II version of the 3.8 V6 that now got 35 extra horsepower to rate a 205-hp. The SSE could already be upgraded to the SSEi, which included the Series I supercharged 225-hp 3.8 V6. A 4-speed automatic was the only available transmission.
The SE now had the option of a new Sport Luxury Edition (SLE) package, which included the supercharged engine, the Computer Command Ride (which adjusted the suspension to the appropriate driving condition), leather seats, and premium audio system. These were previously only available on the SSE in the SSEi package. What distinguished the SSE now was mostly the standard features. The SE came with few, while the SSE offered power driver's seat, lighted entry, power heated mirrors, rear spoiler, dual exhaust pipes, and a center console. Options for both trims added leather seats, a heads-up display, sunroof, and audio controls on the steering wheel.
Drivers seem to love the smooth ride, engine power, and the sports-like handling of the 1994 Bonneville, particularly the supercharged versions. They always praise the incredible amount of room, comfortable seats, and trunk space, but also think the Bonneville is strong and solid in the snow, with great traction. It holds up well and even gets good gas mileage for such a large car. Detractions include a tendency to develop cracks in the manifold early, some electrical problems, issues with engine and transmission repairs, and cheap interior materials that fall apart easily. Some drivers also feel the transmission is too weak and that the turning radius is too wide with lots of body lean.

Great car. Loved it from the day I bought it till the day it tried to push a slow moving pickup truck at high speed. Found out the air bags work just fine.
They are old cars now and prone to electrical issues due to their age. Lots of older people bought them though and looked after them and sometimes didn't drive them much. Find a low miler, don't pay too much and you'll have a great luxury car.Feb 03, 2015

One of my favorite cars I' ve owned.
This car handles very well. Accelerates quickly, stops on a dime .Comfortable ride, fun to drive, & very, very reliable. A combination of a sedan & sports car. Has horse power, & torque like a sports car with the room, safety features, & fuel economy of a family sedan. All around great car!Jun 28, 2012

this car has a 3800 6 cyl. engine and and has plenty of power for climbing hills or anything else, i had another car with the same engine and it was used as a tug-a-war comp. and won against a grand cherokee jeep a s-10 and a pontiac sunfire no problem so i know the tranny and engine can do alot of work and still get you to work and back haha.Nov 09, 2011

she doesn't look the best, but she runs laps around the Honda civics I'm surrounded with. They rev their tiny engines and try to scare me, but it really doesn't work when I'm sitting on a 3.8L with a 10 pound boost.Oct 12, 2010

I like that its old so I can beat on it and not care. It gets goos
mileage and and it will still turn mid 15s in the quarter mile
because it has the bulletproof 3800 engine. It also really

Build Quality - pretty good little rust starting to surface

everythings great! its a 1995 pontiac bonneville ssei. it has a supercharged 3.8 in it. its in exelent condition and i got it for only $2600. i put about $350 into it and did the work myself. i love this car it will last me a very long time it only has 132000 miles on it. very fun to drive. good gas mileage. not bad maintenance. looks great. love the sunroof. it has every extra imaginable. no squeaks or rattles. love the car.Jun 26, 2009

I love my car because it is very "roomy" inside with a cozy feeling, it has every control you can think of having,with every option you can imagine. It drives so smooth on the road, with the HUD feature, which is awesome I love my Pontiac Bonneville. I would recommend this car to everyone I know!!!Apr 20, 2009

This car was the perfect blend of sport and family. From packing up the little one, camping gear, food, and toys, this car could hold the cargo. The trunk was big enough in fact for me to fully stretch out in. (And I'm 6' 1")
On the sport side, the car had great suspension and road handling characteristics and the 3.8 litre V-6 got you moving fairly quickly with a modest 260HP.
Overall my favorite car that I have owned. It will take a very special ride to knock this one of the top spot in my heart.Nov 07, 2008

The car has never been in better shape. The car may be 13 years old, but the engine and tranny and only 4 and 3 years old, so she purrs on the road. I cleanest Bonneville out there, other than the last generation. I'd swear by this car to anyone interested in one!Sep 30, 2008

Way before a 4 door sports sedan was even thought of Pontiac got this
formula right, these cars had the handling, and straight line
performance that no cars could compete with at the time. What's good
about the '95 is the series I supercharger, it had a smaller pulley so it
would have more compression, the series II did not. though it didn't
make a huge difference it is still faster and gets better gas milage.Dec 06, 2007

I have a 95 pontiac Bonneville supercharger ssei , it wont start, no click, no nothing. just replaced starter help!!!!
I have had this car for 2 week's. Ive replaced the water pump, both belts, the ac compresser and now the starter. After replacing the starter, it ran fine then went to leave an it wont start.no clicking, no sound, just wont start. I dont know what else to do . Please help me! Im a female doing all this work I know some about cars but not this much I guess. Working on it right now any help would be great!
