I Adore My Lil — I could write about the pros of my Town Car (aka Lil) all day! This is my 5th Town Car and there's a reason why...they're fantastic! I got rid of one because of the gas shooting up to almost $4 a gallon...got a hybrid Fusion which was a great car but no where as comfortable or as much room as the TC. As soon as gas went back down I got rid of the Fusion and went searching for a TC, my latest being a '95. She is wonderful. I traded a '98 in because it just wasn't nearly as comfortable as the early 90's. And I got rid of a '93 because it was smoking pretty bad and at the time I didn't have the resources to get the valve seals fixed. I must say tough, out of the '93, '94, '95, '97 & '98, the '93 was the best ride, 2nd '95, 3rd '97, 4th '94 and last '98. The current '95 has just under 120k miles. When I found it it had 4 different tires on it. Replaced those that day, then new brakes/rotors, windows tinted legal, satellite radio added, upper & lower ball joints and tie rod, oil changed to Mobil 1 every 3500 miles and transmission drain. The seat leather is coming apart at the sewed seams and that will bee fixed asap as well as the drivers power window switch, which will be done in the next week or two. Since I paid cash ($1700!) I have liability only and the taxes are probably under $200. I now have more in the repairs for the car than thee cost, but I plan on driving her for at least another 100,000. She's a member of the family now, and I love her! Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: The ride, the ride, the ride! I am isolated from the road and the rest of the world. Very little road noise at all. The room, the leather seats made of...cloud I think, the power is perfect, the digital dash. Did I mention the ride? Cons: She's a little thirsty. |

Great Car For Road Trips — air bags went out, changed to coil springs. egr keeps clogging up. door panels on both front sides come loose. gas milege is terrible at 15.4 in the city. hwy isn't bad around 24..just your average car to upkeep. abs will need work after 125k Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: I love this car, but after 20 years I do believe it is time to get a newer one Cons: gas mileage is not bad for a car this size |

Love My Tc — I love that its a comfortable ride, with lots of room, I enjoy the power seats and windows, the radio works extremely well. Its a 95 so it has a few issues and my heater core needs replaced, its a reliable car. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Lots of room, smooth ride, comfortable Cons: Its a V8 so it tends to use a lot of gas |

One Of The Last Of The Real American Cars — The car is like as big as a Sherman tank. Yet it is safe and has a unique style of look. Good on performance, but not the best when it comes to gas. Fun to drive and it's purely American. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Big, yet classic and safe. Cons: Gas is one of the few complaints about the car. |

Fun To Drive This Over-sized Boat — Overall nice luxury car, has a V8 in it, has way too many options, sucks to fill up on gas though. Sound system is still in really good condition, has new winter tires, winshield, shocks, fuses, has the oil changed every 5000 clicks. Pros: fits tons of snowboards and gear when i'm heading out to the mountains Cons: ppl automatically think your a grandpa when they see this thing |

My Sweet Ride — old person car or not, this ride is the best one i owned, minus the pinksish red color, my town ar offers reasonable gas mileage, superior room and the ultimate in comfort. solid 289 v8 with 175000 miles no problems. will post pic after deployment when i trick it out Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: v8 power, comfort and roominess Cons: old man appearence, |

"i Play Bingo On Sundays" — if you want a car that says to the world 'I'm older than dirt' this is for you. This was the first car I owned. I can't complain too much about it, it handled relatively well considering its age and had a nice interior. Other than that the car had several flaws.
Pros:
unrealistically loud sound system(unrealistically loud for old people that is)
Cons:
like driving a boat |

They Sure Don't Make Anything This Good Anymore-darnit! — I love the way it looks, I found a really clean example of a Signature Series Towncar. After I weeded out the neglected maintenance from the previous owner, I found a very solid fun to own car. This one is rust free- doors, decklid, fender lips- all perfect!! This model is my favorite of the evolution of the Lincoln, I find it the most sophisticated look compared to the smaller restyle after 1998. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Love the smooth quietnness on the highway. Super comfortable and roomy, easy to drive as well. Tracks straight as an arrow, reliable car, easy to repair. Cons: Rear shock absorber replacement- very daunting upper mounts. |

Great Full Size Car With Plenty Of Power And Room, Comfort For All. — After 170,000 miles, giving it away 2x, it finally got a new engine and transmission and was sold to a friend who is still driving it!! =0) Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Plenty of power and superior cooling for the engine and the passenger. Excellent gas mileage for such a big car with plenty of power. All the bells and whistle you would expect from a Lincoln. Lumbar seats, digital gauges and fuel information. Cons: After a few years, the windows will fail, I've seen it on almost all of the '95 '96 models, the window regulators where crap metal wire. The airbags will go also.. I just replaced them with springs. |
