A Nice Ecomonical Car, Relatively Easy To Work On. — Had this car for 2 years and put 35,000km on it. One summer it blew the water pump and timing belt. Did the head gasket at the same time. Always got me 25-30MPG in city and 40-45 MPG on the HWY. Awesome little car, quite peppy with the 5 speed. Handled great. Let it go cause of an accident in the rear that seemed to warp the frame. Got more in scrap then I paid for it too.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: It was nice, efficient, clean, did the job.

Cons: Left me stranded a couple times. Once the fuel pump, other time water pump timing belt.

Still Workin On It... — The stratus is not a bad looking car overall but you can not judge a book by it's cover....The car handles great but lacks the power to actually take the car through the whole corner, and if i half too jack the car up and take the tire off one more time, just too change or clean the terminals in the freezing cold.....i just might scrap it.So far i have not sunk much $ into it but i do all the work my self and time is money!

Pros: looks good

Cons: power

Newest Car I Ever Owned — This car was pretty good on gas, but it was a dodge and an autoamatic, so guess what 2 transmissions and I sent this thing packing down the road. It was the nicest car I had looks and interior wise but I have never had that many tranny problems before

Pros: Looked Great

Cons: Had a dodge transmission in it

Stratus The Machine — good car, not bad on gas, really need to keep up to date with the maintance. for a 2.5l v6 it moved really well, repairs can be fairly costly as alot of its problems are difficult to fix, very nice handling and suspension.

Pros: fuel millage, handling, ride, performance

Cons: repairs, upkeep

Great Car... Just Needs A Few Tweaks — I loved this car after I bought it. But bad engineering on behalf of Dodge, I also went through 3 transmissions...

Pros: Looks great, Smooth ride, Good acceleration, Great on gas.

Cons: Bad transmissions lol

Work In Progress... — 1995 Stratus that I've had since 2004. Has the 2.5L V6 with 65000 miles. A good, reliable car that looks pretty decent and is fun to drive.

Pros: fun, looks good, nice aftermarket options

Cons: needs a little more power

Boring Car — 5 speed 4cyl has more pep than auto 4cyl but still lacks alot of pwoer. great gas mileage and pretty simple to work on. Battery is located behind the driverside wheel which is a pain in the ass to deal with.

Pros: 4 doors, and gas mileage

Cons: no balls and battery location

1995 Chrysler Stratus 2.5 — In Europe, this car is sold unter the make Chrysler. It's a great car with much space, well equipped, pleasant to drive with enough power in the 2.5 version. Never had any problems with it.

Pros: Very solid and reliable

Was supposed to be like a four door Avenger, but its just NOT an Avenger. The passion isnt in it. It was a good family car, but kind of boring to drive.

Would Buy Ranked 1995 Dodge Avenger ES FWD better.
"The Avenger was a sexy ride. It cared how you felt in the car when you drove it, not just driving it. You rode in the car, and the car was with you. Other cars I have driven are not like the Avenger was. I never had to adjust anything in my Avenger after the first time I got into it. I sat down in it and could drive for hours and enjoy it. The Stratus felt like I was in someone elses car. It just didnt fit right. "
