The Monte "lumina" Carlo — I bought it to replace the Beretta. The z34 with the 3.4 Twin Cam is a decent car, moderate power with good control (four wheel independant suspension). The 3.4's are expensive to mod so they are cheap cars to get used if you plan to leave them stock. The car runs and drives perfect but the transmission is failing, which is a week point in these cars.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Leather seats, factory CD, powerful

Cons: Transmission, LQ1 maintanence, tight engine bay hard to work on.

Beautiful Car — Mine was black with a gray leather interior. The V-6 had enough power and the got good gas mileage. Trunk was huge and front and back seats were very comfortable. It was a great highway cruiser. It always attracted compliments wherever I went.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Beautiful looking, very comfortable, plenty of room

Cons: Hard to get in and out of back seats

Its A Fast Car With Tons Of Extra Torque. — Overall this is my favorite car. Shes got great Torque to HP ratio. Decent gas mileage. Its a great car if you know what to tinker with. Did a Suspension upgrade and a Front disc break and pad change. She stops better and accelerates amazingly.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its a 2 door Coupe which gives it more style. Got the bigger 3.4l V6. Has leather interior. Bigger wheels and breaks. Tight suspension and handling. Fast as hell.

Cons: Belt driven cams. Tight engine compartment. Expensive motor to maintenance.

I Would've Loved To Have Had This Car When It Was Brand New. — I got this car for $500 and it doesn't owe me a dime. Other than a severe oil leak that would take 12 hrs to fix I just add about a quart a week. This car is like a Monte SS. They didn't make the SS for a few years so they made the Z-34 instead. This car is a blast to drive, even though it weighs like 2 tons it's got sufficient power.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It only cost $500. Of all the cars I've had over the year this one is definately the best bang for my buck.

Cons: The oil leak that would cost more than I paid for the car to fix.

Verrry Nice Quoted Like Borat — right now it doesnt run so that sucks but it runs well when it does. Very nice body, 500 used, leather interior with a crazy sound system. The car is very fun to drive it is automatic, which blah... GAS

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: SOUND

Cons: DOESNT RUN RITE NOW

Fun Car, But Costly To Maintain — I bought the car with 98000 miles on it. It runs great for the $1200 I bought it for. I have not had any problems yet. The transmission was rebuilt when I got it. It has great acceleration and handling. It's fun to drive. The downside are that it's front wheel drive, and the engine is difficult to work on.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Good acceleration, good handling

Cons: Front wheel drive, difficult to work on

Was A Good Car In Its Day — I just got the car about 6 months ago with 95000 on it. The acceleration is great for a 3.4L Its seeming to go through brake pads on the driver front, it has an idle problem and a hifting problem. I do not like the lumina look a like styling. gas milage is terrible im getting 12 combined city/hwy. its not worth selling im this condition and its going to take more than what its worth to fix.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: good acceleration, comfortable ride

Cons: looks like a lumina, uses a lot of fuel

Buy Newer, But If This Is Your Only Option...i'm Partial :) — Didnt do my research before i bought the "X" Engine. I believe my 95 was the last year they made the 3.4, if not the second to last year. Shoulda spent the extra cash on the wonderful 3800 they're using for the Chevy/GM standard.. I've ended putting in at least $3600 into it since, with fantastic results. ($3600 is what i paid for it) Shes quick...damn quick. Cherry Bomb Mufflers makin her sound pretty damkn decent too.

Pros: Fun to drive in a straight line! VERY comfortable car, and I get 32+ MPG Highway.

Cons: Tranny Issues, Engine Issues, taillight issues, center console door was broken off of EVERY 95 Monte I've EVER seen (lots).
