1994 Saab 900 2 Dr S HatchbackReview

Gotta Love The Swede! — Handling is exceptional along with braking. Build quality is good on mechanicals but not so much on interior parts. The car is a neat green color and it has the S.E wheels which look nice. Its no supermodel but the hatchback has cool flair. Gas mileage is good and i have a good shop near my house so maintenance isn't a pain. The car is fun to drive because of the 5-speed and graceful handling. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Balance of economy, practicality, and driving pleasure Cons: Build quality of interior and expense of parts for it ![]() Looking for a Used 900 in your area?CarGurus has 13 nationwide 900 listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Best First Car In Existence...also The Easiest Car To Learn Stick On!! — from a glance...u wouldn't think much of it...and if you just quickly test drive it, u would think its just a normal car, but to live with it is like having another best friend that you hang out and spend time with every time you travel. most personality ive ever seen in a car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: biggest personality, quick and alive, therefore fun! Cons: little things r always broken |

Saab 900 2.5 V6 — Comfortable, quick, reliable, handled well and had everything you could want, a/c, rcl, cruise, electric everything. Didn't look the best, but I loved it and I'd have another one tomorrow. Only 20mpg though - a price worth paying. Enough room for 4 adults + luggage in extreme comfort Pros: Performance, comfort, handling Cons: Fuel economy |

Functional Bliss — An incredibly utilitarian car. It could possibly contain the entire contents of your house. The Saab has the best dash layout of any car I've ever seen. The seats are superb- one can drive for 8-10 hours and emerge refreshed. No small feat in a compact car. With a 5-speed, the Saab is a very sporty ride and lots of fun on a curvy road. However: NEVER buy one with the GM V6 motor. These engines are prone to expensive breakages. Mine blew it's oil system and two gears in the gearbox at virtually the same time. If you can find one of these cars with Saab's reliable and proven turbo 4 cylinder, I highly recommend it. If you see one advertised with the V6, run away! Pros: Interior volume, dash layout, comfort Cons: GM V6 engine, |

First Car, And Will Always Have In My Garage In The Sky. — My first car, and quite incredible. Before rust started doing its thing, this car was amazing. Could squeeze 35 MPG out on a good day. Only had 150hp (2.3L N/A) but was available just above 2,000 RPM. Had it from 98,000 to 142,000 miles with very few problems. Pros: Great car, lots of space. Very fun to drive, and had the most personality of any car I've driven. Engine and transmission were perfectly paired. Cons: Rust seemed to claim almost every 900s I saw. Engine and transmission were amazing, but everything made by GM wasn't. |

It's Only As Far As Reliable As... — It's only as far as reliable as it keeps on letting me down continously. It's slow! Plastic parts all break apart. Roof doesn't work anymore (after 5 times in the garage for repair). It looks sharp, though ,-) Pros: Sharp looks, nice when driving open, good curve handling. It's a SAAB ,) Cons: It's slow, every once in a while something's breaking, it's expensive to maintain. |
