Classic Muscle Car. — I love everything about this car. It is all original and it's gonna stay that way. Does some very reliable burnouts. I get cash offers on a daily basis but I refuse to sell for anything less that six thousand.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Head turner!

Cons: Power windows do not function at the moment.

3rd Gen Body — The 3rd Generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is great example of America building good sports cars. In high school I drove one with t-tops and it was very fun to drive. One of the best things was cruising around this with the t-tops off. I wish some American cars today would be built a car that captured that early 90s style and give us t-tops

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Potential American Classic

Cons: Too much power for the body

This Car Is Awesome!! — I Love This Car. Especially Since I've Completed All The Upgrades I Planned On Doing To It When I Originally Bought This Car. My Firebird Turns Heads And Receives Compliments Every Single Time It Is Driven...Along With People Constantly Wanting To Buy My Car. There Is Not One Thing That I Dislike About This Car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Looks & Sounds The Way A Sports Car Was Meant To.  Lots Of Fun To Drive!

Cons: Of Course Fuel Economy Is Terrible.  Not An Ideal Daily Commuter Car.

Grand Trans Am You Gonna Love It, Baby — I love everything about this except that I have put too many miles on her have will haveto replace the engine in a few years. But, I am not gonna ever sell it. It is simply my last car ever.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: When I first got  it and brought it home my wife said "H'mmm mid life crisis time already?!" I love the way it sounds when I am driving it. and sorry oficers but once that baby hits 100+ she drops down a little a it seems like she says c'mon baby lets roll forever, together. People always stop and stare, they love the t-tops, and the way it holds them as I drive. I don't understand why people talk about the lack of power, I have out raced so many other  performance cars it is ridiculous. I have even been pulled over after out racing some high performance cars just to be asked what I have under the hood. My only response is that One: I.m a better driver than they are and two no it has not been modified in any way. I like saying Face it charlie you just got beat. Some have wanted to buy it after a beatdown on the freeway.  But no no no no sale, baby I ain't crazy, love my Grand Trans Am.

Cons: Replacement part are too expensive now that they are no longer made, which is a shame.

Beautiful. Loud. Bit Of Motoring History. Head Turner. Fun To Drive And Own. —

I like the look. Sound and driving it. Parts believe it or not are pretty easy to get when needed. I've brought parts from places in uk and what I couldn't get I shipped parts like new windscreen over from the states. Yes at some cost but a jobs not worth doing if not done properly. And now nearing the end of my restore my firebird looks fantastic inside an out. But Remmber every car is a commitment and especially a 22 yr old one. You will never stop trying to improve it so it can be exspensive. I'm glad I bought it though I paid £2051 on eBay got it deliverd to me and have spent the past 3yrs restoring her. Kinda like one of the family now and my little girl loves going out in it. I'll say if you like American muscle and your not afraid of a bit of hard work and want to drive a price of history then what better way to introduce you then a firebird. Great on motorway exspensive burning round town though. Doesn't like traffic jams in hot weather can overheat. Other then that and using a outdoor cover or better a garage.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: One of the last 3rd gens to be made. A bit of american muscle history still holding its own and setting a great example of how wonderful and attractive cars used to be. I've a 92 firebird 3.1ltr auto with the banshee style nose and body kit. It commands attention where ever it goes. It's loud an faster of the mark then alot of 2days avarage boring cars that all look the same. I love my firebird and fully intend to keep her going.

Cons: The trick is finding one in good nick that's the hard point. Issues and most common probs due to neglect can cost thousands to fix. Prob arrears to check. Trunk floor. Underside sills both sides.t/top bar and seels. Wheel arches. Rear hatch lip collects water as gets in through rear spoiler bolt mounts. I had all this to fix and more she now needs touch up spray to make good. And new decals placing. Once in good condition and finnished I think avarage maintenance will be ok.

Showcar — Appearance: a real showcar that is for sure Performance for a 3.1 V6 could be better, too slow for this big engine, only 140 PK Fun factor: no dynamic driving possible, drives like a boat Cost of ownership: high taxes

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The looks

Cons: No dynamic driving possible

Be Careful If You Try Me — 7 in the eighth, looks pretty good to be almost 20 years old and it is a blast to drive especially when I run it to 3000 rpm in first and slam second she'll burn both tires for twenty feet

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: it likes to move it move it

Cons: getting trim pieces

Old Cars — I truly enjoyed driving the firebird, the only downside was that the car was so old, with that being said they need alot of work to be in a semi-new condition. But half the fun of having an old firebird is working on it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Power, Appearance

Cons: Gas milage
