This Is A Great Car, But The Xr7 Cougar Is A Much Better Value. —

Performance - acceleration lags a bit off the start but picks up quickly to a top speed of 165. The combination of a heavy body and a soft suspension make the cornering a bit "boaty". It is a bit under-braked. Build Quality - It is a very heavy, and tough built car, no rust other than one of the subframe mounts which was replaced in '09. The transmission currently needs a valve body rebuild but other than that it is very reliable. Appearance - I personally like the look of this car, It has a sloped front with a notchback rear window. Chrome grill, and emblems. Interior has the leather/cloth combination trim, sport gauge package and premium audio package. Cost of ownership - This car is fairly reasonable to own, gas mileage suffers in the city but is great on the highway (15 city / 28 highway). It has not needed any costly repairs in the time that I've owned it. Fun Factor - This car is very fun to drive, the sound of the V8 engine under hard acceleration is very pleasing. The high amount of torque makes it very fun to drift and do burnouts. While this car definitely wouldn't win in a cornering contest, it will reach high speeds very quickly. I personally would have liked to have the XR7 model instead of the LS because the XR7 had an adaptive sport suspension, ABS, Traction Control and a sportier interior.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very easy to drive, very comfortable, reliable, good looking.

Cons: Bad city gas mileage, not great in corners unless you have the XR7 with adaptive sport suspension.

Not Bad For A Hand-me-down — This was a great car when I first got it. However, within 2 years, I had gone through 2 engines (the 3.8 liter v6 was known for its overheating issues) and finally gave up, as it had cost me too much money, and despite it only having 60,000 miles or so, way too many things began breaking down. This made it costly to own, even though it was a domestic. The only good thing I have to say about it was that it had tons of room and was a very comfortable ride. The engine needed a bit more power for my tastes though.

Pros: Lots of room. Comfortable ride. Super-fast opening/closing power windows

Cons: anemic v6. Only came in automatic trans. Poor build quality.

It's A Ford — It was a good car that got me from point 'A' to point 'B' but got worse as time went on.

Pros: Moonroof, it ran, and the radio worked.

Cons: It's a Ford.  It crapped out constantly.

Runs Great Needs Help — trying to sell now. has 130k miles. a cd player and nice comfortable seats. I only recomend it if you need a car.

Pros: Fast and comfortable. hasn't broke down on me.

Cons: ugly and has a few things that need fixed.
