4 Stars Out Of 5 — Engines are a mission no matter what angle you look at it from. With the older VG30DETT engines they had alot of overheating problems, as I experienced early on its its time in my hands. The sheer power of that 21 year old engine though surpasses alot of modern cars, as do all of the fairlady Z's. My favourite car to date. Looks sexy, performs like a beast and I want another one later on down the track. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Speed and too many peopel underestimate its greatness. Cons: Engine is well built poorly designed, everything is so hard to get to on it |

Awesome Car — Performance: very quick car, with a lot of power. Build: it didn't need to many things fixed other than I had some trouble with the transmission a few times. Appearance: a very nice looking car, stylish and sleek, when clean. Cost: other than parts, it was a pretty cheap car, affordable and worth the money. Fun: definitely my favorite car that I've owned. I enjoyed it very much. (Damn drunk driver hit me) Pros: I pretty much loved just about everything about this car, from looks to performance. Cons: I don't know if it's common, but I had a faulty transmission. |

Dream Car — being that its twin turbo it's a slight petrol guzzler, but who cares when it's this fast. it looks real schmick, and best bit is I'm not a taxi any more because it's a 2 seater, im not too impressed with the size of the engine bay however, i'm very limited to performance upgrades because of the lack of room Pros: fast, looks great Cons: petrol, engine bay size |

Beautifully Designed Powerful Sportscar. — The timing belt had to be replaced at 312,470 miles. Before this happened, this car was extremely low in maintenance costs. And the powerful acceleration from this 22 year old motor has embarassed many drivers of vastly newer vehicles! Previous owner drove the Z very little since his family had 3 other vehicles. This is my only vehicle to commute to work so obviously it gets driven daily. Interior noise is very low. Driver's window motor slowly going out so needs a bit of help from me when I push the down button. Upgraded all factory bulbs with LED bulbs I bought off Ebay. Map and cargo as well as dome lights have been replaced with LED bulbs. Stopping power is impressive, since my particular model came equipped with four wheel disc brakes. Factory accessories with this car are well arranged and even use deicing options for both power mirrors! This is a feature only recently being used by vehicles newer than 2007. The paintjob even though it is 22 years old still looks like it rolled out the factory just last week! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Handles like a world class sportscar, low maintenance, stunning looks with T-tops off and powerful acceleration. Aftermarket sound system consisting of a 1,200 watt Sony Xplode monoblock amplifier, twin Pioneer D4 Class 12" subwoofers in a sealed box, Dual Illuminite blue LED rear speakers, Alpine speakers in front and Kenwood 448U bluetooth remote controlled deck with USB input and I-pod cable. Have put out an SPL level of 130db. As of January 15th, 2013 have installed undercar LED lighting system with remote control. Since May of 2013 have custom Angel Eyes installed, making my Fairlady Z the only one on the West Coast with this mod. Watch my video here!
Cons:
Motor timing belt failed on my way to Sea- Tac airport to see my sister's wedding. Missed my flight and her wedding dealing with towing, service garage and costs to repair car. |
