1989 Cadillac BroughamReview

Big Crome Bumpers, Beautiful Body, Plush Seating, Vinyl Top, What More Can U Ask For :) — some of the best cars ever made. pillow soft ride and take corners well for such a big car. very quiet in side even while driving on rough roads. i have owned it for about 3 years, and with about 160,000 still runs good. so far the only thing i had to fix is the water pump and intake gasket. interior is very comfortable and looks very nice. gas mileage with the olds 307 (Y) engine is not the best, but not the worst for the year and size of the car. its an all around fun to drive car with the classic Cadillac styling.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: beautiful, comfortible, well built car

Cons: the 307 engine is a bit under powered for this car, but will do fine for most

Amazing — i like everything about this car i just wish it were a coupe. it is very fun to ride in cause it doesnt matter if you are going 100 or 10 mph you feel like you riding on a cloud.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: badass, pimpin, its got a V8, comfortable

Cons: long, wide

This Is An Amazing Machine Of Comfort And Luxury — Overall the car is amazing. What it lacks in performance it more than makes up for in class and comfort. After all, it wasnt built to be a sports car; it was built to get you where you want to go while making you look and feel great, and that it does. I love this car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: looks great, rides smoother than anything else on the road, solid as a tank

Cons: gas miliage, but its really not as bad as one might expect

WinyoComan says:
Long-distance plains travel is significantly more enjoyable with this automobile. The air is practically a refrigerator and at 17 highway mpg the economy isn’t bad given the 4200-lb weight. A word of caution, though: make sure you have the car serviced before tackling the Appalachians. These mountains are rough on the engine.

Front Seats Ranked 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier CS Sedan FWD worse.
"The seats are much better by far in the Brougham than the Cavalier. There is even an armrest in both front and back."
Value Ranked 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier CS Sedan FWD worse.
"The Cavalier made public transit feel posh. I cannot say that with any Cadillac. What is saved on gas in the Cavalier is made up for by income loss generated by a sheer loss of confidence in one’s employability—this car will cement a low class into a low caste."
